Even if only for a quick overnight stay, the hotel & garden were worth the stop. Relaxing garden with lovely spots to sit and read amongst the flowering plants. Rooms quiet, comfortable and the breakfast buffet was ample and tasty. Walked down the hill to a good brasserie (Gaston) for an easy supper and enjoyed being so close to the town's cultural venues (Musee Soulanges, cathedrale, etc.).

We specifically visit Rodez a lot, as it is a lovely large town in the centre of the very interesting Aveyron region, which encompasses a large number of Beautiful Villages of France. Also, it has this wonderful little hotel of just seven rooms, which we think offers the best value one could imagine.||It is owned and run by 2 sisters who also own an hotel and a Michelin rated restaurant in Belcastel, a beautiful village just 21 kms away. As you can imagine, if one sister is a highly regarded chef, then the food in La Ferme de Bourran, although a limited menu , is of the same quality at an amazingly affordable price as the restaurant. ||The staff are very friendly and speak good English and offer excellent advise on where to go what to visit, etc. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed with views across the valley to Rodez. The hotel is just 12 years old.||The hotel is situated just on the edge of town in a country setting, so plenty of fuss free parking. There is a regular bus service, every 20 mins, just down the hill and for 1 euro per person, you can travel the 1.5kms into town. It is a most interesting town dominated by the most amazing and historic church.||There are a number of good restaurants and all amenities within walking distance of the hotel.

This is almost more like a large B and B than a hotel. Our room was large and well appointed with a huge bed and kettle, AC and electric shutters. The garden is pretty, a modest size, but there is ample parking. ||||We thought we would be in Rodez but in fact the hotel is is a new town across the valley. Too far to be a pleasant walk on busy roads, and buses do not take dogs here, so we parked in a paying carpark just outside the old city, with no trouble even on market day. ||||The owners/ staff were charming and recommended restaurants as there is no dining room, though there is room service. ||||Breakfast was good continental, with extras available. Freshly squeezed juice, local honey, homemade jam, excellent breads etc, unsweetened muesli, thank goodness. ||||The only annoying thing was the wifi - you seemed to have to log on afresh every time you wanted to use it. ||||Not cheap, but I would always go back if in Rodez. .

This hotel, an old farm house, sits on the edge of the city on a slight hill with views across to the distant cathedral. It is about a mile and a half walk or there is an excellent bus service a few hundred yards away. Local shops and a good brasserie are also nearby.||||The hotel is very clean and quiet, and well served by Annie and Anthony who are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are very good as are the evening meals.||||One feels like being out in the sticks but yet only a short enough distance from all the sights within the City. Taxis can be expensive for the must see places outside of Rodez. Public transport out of the city may also be limited so rent a car.||||The hotel has a nice garden to relax and good parking. We really liked it here and being something different to the mainstream. Thank you.

We spent 3 nights in a deluxe room at La Ferme de Bourran in June. ||The hotel is situated on the edge of Bourran, a new residential area about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Rodez, or 5 minutes by car, if that doesn’t appeal. It is easily accessed from the main routes into Rodez, it has its own garden, and plenty of parking.||Our room, one of seven, was excellent, quiet, clean and well provided – soft drinks were complementary, and the bed very comfortable.||There is no restaurant, breakfast is ordered the evening before, it can be served in the reception area, on the terrace or in your room, and is very good both for quality and quantity as well as price.||There is room service for an evening meal but we did not try it as there are several good restaurants within easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes). ||Staff were, without exception, excellent, very helpful and quick to respond to any request.||Rodez is not on the major tourist agendas, but we spent a day there, visiting the Musée Soulage, as well as the local market and old town. The rest of the time we spent visiting some of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”, of which there are many in the region. ||Overall it was a very enjoyable trip, and highly recommended.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable and agréable. Feels like it is in the country side but across the viaduct to town centre. Bus available, but longish walk possible.||Great local restaurants 200 m from hotel across mini park. One Michelin star and one very decent Brasserie as well as pizzerias etc...||Need a Digi code if arriving after 9 pm.

La Ferme du Bourran is located on the site of a former farm, surprisingly on a hill immediately outside the new town developments of Rodez, within walking distance of some good restaurants. The hotel is a small family run business with very few rooms - so be advised to book in advance. The room we were given was beautifully arranged, the hotel has no extra facilities but offers a good French breakfast - no restaurant. Pets allowed, free parking on site. Friendly competent staff. Cross into the old town of Rodez and enjoy,
