The positives: |Le Barn is a huge, natural and beautiful place. It’s surrounded by fields with horses and a gorgeous forest. There is ample cycling, walking and horse riding and a pond for swimming. It’s great for children and families and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay with some caveats.|What needs improving in my opinion : |1) The food could be so much better. Le Barn grow many or all of the vegetables they use but the menu is repetitive and quite small. Despite the limited choices, the execution is not always successful and we certainly had a number of disappointing meals. The same can be said for every meal and the children’s options. Fresh bread and croissants are a given in France; there is no excuse to not providing them. |2) Swimming: I was looking forward to some wild swimming but the pond is not all that enticing; The water is very muddy and sometimes smells. |A natural swimming pool would be a much nicer option and would get much more use. |3) Accommodation is adequate but a better shower ( rather than a bath with a plastic curtain) would have been appreciated.

Beautiful countryside retreat with stylish rooms, excellent food, and attentive staff. Perfect for a relaxing getaway with peaceful surroundings and great amenities.

Came here with the bikes. Food was great, service as well. Very well spent sunny Sunday!

They refused to honor my confirmed reservation and the reception staff blamed me for their mistake (despite showing them a copy of the confirmation email). I had planned my trip around staying here, including dinners and activities, all of which had to be canceled last minute. The manager’s “solution” was sending me 20 minutes away to a lesser value hotel. I even called weeks in advance and was told reservations at the restaurant weren’t needed since I was a guest. Completely incompetent and uncaring

Beautiful place with beautiful people! Also, the foods are really good, from breakfast, lunch, to dinner every meal is great! The environment and the room are charming and clean. I enjoy their sauna very much. We are pleased with every moment here. It is a great place to be and slow down your life with your loved ones, family, and friends.

I'm biased as I really love the Barn and it's idea to offer an escape from Paris into "nature"; it's the perfect place to decompress from the speed, intensity, noise of the city, if you like to slow down a bit. ||||Stay for a weekend or a night, come by car or train, drop your suitcase in one of the beautiful designed rooms and get started with a walk around the premises: a big garden, horses and a small forest welcome you. enjoy the coffee, the meals and take photos, as they are all instagramable... ||||The kitchen tries to cater to the taste of city people in serving home grown or locally sourced vegetables, fruits, bread ... with adapting country side recipes, which turns out to be usually delicious and inspiring to your tastebuds; however don't forget to walk or exercise as the plates are rather rich.||||The team is super welcoming and accommodating, just ask and they'll take care of you. ||||WIFI and network are quite good, so you have to discipline yourself to detox... and sometimes there is a nice party in the evening.

Le Barn is a beautiful and cozy hotel with calm and peaceful surroundings. The food was amazing, and the staff were very welcoming. I really enjoyed my time there.
