This is one museum with the Picasso museum: same building, same ticket. While I found the Picasso parts very ugly, the ceramics from Vallauris are higher quality and reflect a diversity of artists. Vallauris was reknown for ceramics for a while and the collection is a decent sample, including some basic pedagogical exhibits to feel different textures. It's a local village museum, not a major museum, but the full price at 6 euros (or reduced to 3) reflects this. Parking is easy as large cheap parkings are next door.

A very very special place: As well as an excellent section showcasing Picasso’s adventures in ceramics (along with a great film of his later life spent in Vallauris), the top floor is dedicated to curating a wide range of both early and late works of our most favourite abstract Italian artist, Alberto Magnelli. All the staff were incredibly welcoming; a huge thank you to the gentleman in the gift shop for “accommodating us”: you made the journey by train from Nice, and quick bus up from Golfe Juan Vallauris, very special for us. Merci monsieur.

Musée épuré mais intéressant. La chapelle Picasso est sublime, il faut regarder la vidéo avant, afin d'avoir une lecture et un ressenti total! Pour les céramiques, peu, mais là section " artistes" vaut le coup d'œil.

Beau musée mais l'accueil n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur. Personnel peu aimable et vraiment pas enclin à vous renseigner (par fainéantise ou incompétence ?!). En revanche, il maîtrise parfaitement la montre : vous êtes prestement invité à quitter les lieux 20 minutes avant l'horaire officiel par un jeu de lumière (fermeture précipitée des volets et extinction des feux). Merci toutefois à la dame du comptoir d'entrée et au libraire qui semblent tout deux véritablement au fait des lieux qu'ils occupent.

beau musée à visiter après avoir déambulé dans les boutiques de la rue Georges Clémenceau et la vieille ville attenantes. La peinture intérieure par Picasso d'une chapelle "La guerre et la paix" vaut le détour. Ainsi que les poteries de Picasso réalisées pendant la période de sa vie passée à Vallauris. À voir : un excellent petit film documentaire illustrant celle-ci. Nous avons aussi aimé la présentation d'affiches dessinées par Picasso Sont également présentées de magnifiques poteries d'autres artistes et tout un ensemble de peintures d'Alberto Magnelli. Le tout s'articule autour d'une petite cour, où il faut s'arrêter un moment pour observer le cadran solaire réalisé en lave émaillée par Jean-Paul Riopelle.

Seguendo le tracce di Picasso in Provenza si arriva a Vallauris. Il museo merita una visita: le ceramiche esposte sono pregevoli manufatti nello stile tipico di Picasso. Commovente la cappella “Guerra e Pace” decorata dal pittore negli anni’50.
