This is a beautiful, impeccably clean boutique hotel with absolutely breathtaking views of Albi. The location is right on the river by the old bridge and so easy to find. It's a 7-min walk to the Albi-Madeleine train station and an 18-min walk from the Albi-ville train station. The hotel is extremely well-managed by the owner who lives on site in another part of the structure. The interior of the hotel is renovated in a modern and tasteful style, impeccably decorated, with high-end finishes in the bathroom. The breakfast is not to be missed, with delicious homemade ingredients, such as authentic jams, and thoughtful attention to excellent service. The owner speaks English, French and Spanish fluently, as well as perhaps some other languages I am not aware of. I had the Toulouse-Lautrec room, with my own little terrace to relax in the evenings. I highly recommend this lovely place for a truly memorable stay in the wonderful city of Albi--an unforgettable town with so much natural and architectural splendor.

A first visit to Albi and what a wonderful city. So full of character and history. Our stay at Villa Caroline was excellent. Spacious room (Toulouse-Lautrec) with quality furnishings, linen and bathroom. There is a terrace, but the weather during our stay didn't allow us to use it. Maybe next time!| |Warm welcome from Mario and a good breakfast. Again, we couldn't take advantage of eating on the outdoor terrace with a great view of the cathedral. Nice to have the large communal space with use of the kitchen if needed.||It's in a great spot - very quiet, yet 10 minutes walk from the centre.|The nearby free car parking is an added bonus.||Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely wonderful experience, start to finish. We enjoyed a large room with a stunning view of the cathedral, private bath and kitchen, and private access to the terrace. The included breakfast was wonderful and included jams and yogurt made by the property owner and their family. The proprietor was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with whatever is needed. I only wish we had more time.

From the welcome by Mario to the comfort of the room, to a delicious breakfast, this stay in Albi was superb. Our ground floor room with a terrace was immaculate and cleverly designed to ensure guests had a relaxing stay. A bonus was the view across the river to the city of Albi, soon to be more easily accessible once the ancient bridge repairs are completed. Mario’s recommendations for restaurants were spot on. For Australian visitors the nearby Botany Bay park and Laperouse Museum will bring an interesting connection to home. It was too cool for breakfast on the communal terrace, but that will be a treat to look forward to next time.

The accommodation and hosts are superb in every way. The location is ideal for exploring Albi and surrounding area. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need available. The owners are super helpful and the breakfast is a delight with home made jams, honey and fresh bread and pastries. We highly recommend staying at Villa Caroline.

We stayed at Villa Caroline for three nights recently and were so happy to have found this wonderful place! Mario is an impeccable host - friendly, accommodating and very, very, efficient. The location is convenient- just across the bridge from the famous cathedral, but wonderfully quiet. The views from the terrace are something I will remember forever. Breakfast on the terrace with fresh fruit, home made yogurt and jams, and fresh baked croissants, while looking onto that remarkable cathedral was the best way to start the day. Thank you Mario - we have stayed in many places over the years and this was one to remember!

A truly exceptional stay. Beautifully restored and decorated rooms, spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed and high quality linen. Calm and quiet location with amazing views from the terrace and a lovely shared kitchen/diner space. We had a warm welcome from Mario - a fantastic host who gave us great restaurant recommendations, and served wonderful breakfasts on the terrace. It's just a 5 min walk across the vieux pont to the heart of Albi's charming old town and there is free parking 5 mins away. Absolutely outstanding on every level. We hope to be back again very soon!

Outstanding. Beautiful view, peaceful, quality linens and exquisite decor. My husband and I were on an extended road-trip and exhausted. As soon as I saw the place I asked Mario if he could accommodate us for 2 nights and we got lucky. Wonderful host with personalized yet non-intrusive service. Delicious organic offerings for breakfast. Well done. Highly recommend!
