Beautifull old church nearly 400 years old. Arrive early.

5.0 Ben Dietz

You don’t see many old churches with original painted wood ceilings. Beautiful.

We went to the marchè on Sunday. Extremely crowded. The lines of people moving up and down the stalls were very congested. The most crowded I've ever experienced. We tried several times to navigate the stalls but had to abandon our visit. Carnac otherwise is a very pleasant old town and the new town by the sea is totally different with lots of artisan shops. Location of thousands of standing stones from neolithic period 5000 years ago. Well worth a visit and a stay.

Very nice missed visiting here due to our rush wanting to visit all the standing stones that Carnac is famous for, however glad that our curiosity took us inside. Beautiful inside with a particularly unique painted ceiling. Lovely stained glass windows too. Free to enter (around service times) but donations appreciated although you can light a vast selection of candles for varying prices.

The wooden cealing is truly unique. The stain glass windows are really impressive. Some really interesting things inside and some great shops in the surrounding village too. We found a great antiques place down the road from it where we picked up some gems. Always helpful if you take cash for antique hunting.

Church St Cornely is a peaceful spot with a real sense of history. The stonework and setting are beautiful, and it feels tucked away from the busier parts of town. A lovely place to pause and take in some quiet time while exploring the area.

We have visited a lot afternoon churches all over Europe and the paintings on ceiling are some of the best ever

4.0 Aloys Garnier de Kermerc'hou

It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is a beautiful display of altars and sacred paintings. Take a minute to visit it and don't forget to look at the ceilings!
