We first came on a quiet Wednesday evening. Our server took our drink order, and I let him know we’d be ready to order once the drinks arrived. He brought the drinks and left immediately—and then we waited. After 50 minutes with no follow-up, we decided to leave. They weren’t busy; he had simply forgotten about us. The host was extremely apologetic, but the server wasn’t. We chalked it up to a bad server and gave the place another shot the next day for lunch. The service was better this time, and the food was outstanding—no complaints there. I was especially excited for the Café Gourmand, which was supposed to include a salted caramel tiramisu. When it came, it wasn’t included. Likely a communication issue between the kitchen and front staff—something that could be improved. That said, the desserts were objectively very good, just like the pizzas. I’d come back, but I’d definitely keep an eye on the service.
With reservations for three at 12noon on Wednesday, we were seated promptly upon arrival. Seating inside really didn't get full until around 12:45pm. Service was friendly and very good. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in the quality of the pizzas served. My pizza had a very good taste; however, the pizza crust was a bit under-cooked and was quite oily. The Marguerite pizza was very disappointing with an oily cheese on top that was over-cooked and not at all tasty. For the prices paid, these less than average pizzas do not deserve more than three stars. We''ll not be back.
Quite possibly the 20th time I have returned. However the first time since the renovations. The quality of the food is excellent but the decoration of Pino's has become generic and I felt I was dinning in a 2 star hotel restaurant that could have been anywhere! The coziness and the warmth has sadly been lost which is a shame. Accoustics were terrible and impossible to hear our conversations. I guess that on one hand it is great for 'Pinos' that they have increased the size of their operations but at what cost? Thankfully their pizzas save the day and are the best around
We’ve been to this pizzeria many times over the years as we drive through France. It never fails. The food and service is superb. The Carpaccio Pizza is an absolute favourite. It’s also really well located so you can then go for a porter around the pedestrianised streets of a Troyes. I would highly recommend booking as it is very popular.
Crust was a bit too soft but OK. The top of the pizza was incredibly greasy (as were the pizzas at other tables). The margarita pizza had no red sauce or tomatoes and was just topped with low quality cheese. Maybe the worst margarita pizza I’ve ever eaten. No idea why the ratings are so high here but I would not advise to have any of their pizzas.
We booked in this restaurant based on some recommendations from local friends. We had mixed feelings about our dinner. We ordered burrata, pizza and pasta. The pizza and the pasta were delicious and home made. But the burrata was not that good. In the desert we had caramel tiramisu with coffee. But the thing that soured our dinner was the annoying stuff attitude. They kept bugging us which pushed us to leave and ruined the good time we had. This missed up the moment for everybody there. When we confronted them, they ignored our concerns. What a waste of good night.
Very interesting place with great tasty pizza!
The pizza was delicious I had the Napolitena, aged dough, with some spicy oil, it’s been a while since I’ve had a pizza this good. Definitely the best in Troyes.
