Don't go expecting a coffee plantation like we did, it's a banana and sugar cane plantationand. And don't expect the tour to be in English, the owner was the guide but he does not speak English, so brush up on your French before visiting. He does give some interesting info about some of the local plants.
I recently visited this place with my girlfriend and two kids (2 yr and 5months) with high hopes for an educational and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, the visit did not live up to expectations. The tour started 45 minutes late, which was the first sign that things might not go as smoothly as anticipated. Once the tour finally got underway, we were transported on a old trailer pulled by a tractor, leaving us concerned for our safety as the roof seemed on the verge of collapsing. The presentation given by the farm's owner was a mixed bag; only about half of the information shared was genuinely interesting and informative regarding bananas. The rest was overshadowed by an excess of jokes about aphrodisiac foods and dubious claims about the virtues of bananas, making it hard to discern fact from fiction. While the plantation itself was visually appealing, the reception area was a letdown due to its untidy and disorganized state. Our return trip in the trailer was particularly alarming as it nearly tipped over, causing significant concern for the safety of my children and myself. Although I had looked forward to learning about banana cultivation and enjoying a day out with my family, the experience was marred by safety concerns, misinformation, and a lack of professionalism. I hope this feedback can be taken constructively to improve future visitors' experiences.
I didn't read the reviews before the tour and I was expecting to see a coffee plantation, so the name is given because of the area name, but it's a banana plantation. I'm leaving the five star for the enthusiasm of the owner who took us into the tour and gave so much information to the tourists (he was talking all the time, explaining and answering all the questions). The staff was very welcoming. BUT the problem is that I'm not French speaking tourist and unfortunately I didn't understand anything from the presentation, I just enjoyed the sight. I don't criticize the price because everyone makes it's own calculations but since you take my money, offer me the same services that you offer to a French tourist. I received a brochure on the email in english that contains some info about banana plants before the trip but it wasn't too much. However I admire what they do there and I wish then prosperity
Great experience to discover a plantation of bananas, guided by its owner. Overall visit is super interesting! Thanks!
