AZZAOUI YANNIS

One of the more traditional and bigger estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but also one of the top wineries as well. Their approach is completely committed to the best quality fruit to produce great wines from different vineyards in Châteauneuf. I would always call and make a reservation instead of walking in if you want to have acces to all of the information. They do a brief tour to the winery as well. 100% recommend.

Arrived at Vieux Télégraphe at 5.00pm, after a full day tasting around the wonderful wineries of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A ‘lady in the office’ told us that the cellar door had just closed. Seeing the disappointment on our faces she offered to open up just for us. We tasted the full range with a knowledgeable account of each wine and with some history of the Domaine. She showed no urgency at all. It was only as we were leaving that the introductions revealed that our ‘lady in the office’ was Manon Brunier the latest generation of the Vieux Télégraphe family owners! She couldn’t have been more accommodating and is a credit to the venerable family firm. Merci Manon

Excellent tour of the cellars and wine tasting, prearranged with Victoria by phone. Victoria is a great representative of the Domaine, explaining the estates approach to winemaking with clarity and enthusiasm in both English and French. We compared current vintages with an older Chateauneuf du Pape wine, which gave us the confidence that the wines we purchased will last for twenty years! A very educational visit- thank you.

Delicious wines. We had a 2007 with dinner last night and decided to stop in to fast today. We tried a beautiful white Chateauneuf du Pape and a traditional Chateauneuf du Pape.
