As returning guests our welcome at the brighter freshly decorated reception area, was way better than our first visit. We felt like guests. But as for the dining & bar area, we remained to feel like we were a burden to the staff, greetings were not forthcoming. But this was addressed, but we felt for our 3 week stay that we had a target on our backs. The buffet area has been greatly improve by means of the layout, but you have only 2/3 noticeable people that when on shift that work hard to service those areas alone. Bar the ladies that do the eggs & refill the bacon trays, you won’t see anyone else. But when two officials were present one morning on 28/1/26 the staff outnumbered the guests refilling already full trays of rolls etc. That didn’t happen again. The breakfast, lunch & dinner as a vegetarian is challenging and boring. Randomly a tasty dish would be available and then drop off. Breakfast is tiresome, over 2 weeks, no plant based protein options, we gave up by the third week, after a bout of vomiting. The dining seating area resembles a petting farm with chickens, birds and a cat roaming around & flies hovering. What was most disturbing was that the water they serve at the tables we learnt was heavily chlorinated local tap water, but this is not made clear. Further the fresh coffee beans they place in the machine was then filled with the chlorinated water. So we couldn’t have a hot drink. The white & rose wines stored in the fridge uncovered become exposed to the oxygen & breaks down the wine compounds so they taste vinegary, sour & turn an amber colour. A hotelier should know this, The padlock on the fridge for paid items, an eyesore. Most staff in the “restaurant”, lack an air of hospitality, whereas a few work hard, greet guests and regrettably work hard but not smart, clearly due to weak management. Efficient work patterns that work well for staff & guests needs working on. Chefs need to be more creative, have food items clearly labelled. Sala

Well organised hotel: arrived early & give access to our room shortly afterwards. We had junior suite Cannelle, end of a long corridor but surprisingly no noise inside when evening music playing loudly outside. Large bedroom & comfortable bed, shower room too. Room cleaned daily.||Staff made a reservation for us at Cabâne du Pecheur & gave us suggestions for car hire companies - able to use car park. Photos look like there is a kitchen in the suites, my mistake - there are cupboards, fridge, sink, microwave, glasses & cups but no cooking utensils, hob or crockery. Fabulous corner terrace with loungers, chairs, small table & 2 dining chairs, so sun or shade available & the beach & waves rolling just below. Perfect!||Breakfast was included in our booking: fresh fruit; freshly squeezed orange juice & other ‘juices’; rolls & croissants etc, cooked bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs or eggs fried/boiled to order. Didn’t try the buffet evening meals.||Close to a bus stop ( for Le Gosier, whereupon we hired a car but the town itself wasn’t really for us: large hotel & apartment blocks, casino etc), 10 min walk to small shop for drinks/snacks & a burger/ sandwich take away/ eat in. |However, just across the road from hotel is Chez Margaux which has a superb menu. ||15-20 min walk to Leclerc supermarket & Fabien’s fabulous boulangerie/patisserie (small quiches, pizza slices, sandwiches etc for lunch),

Very disappointed. I called to ask if there would be a live band performing on a Saturday night. We were told no. We went to have dinner elsewhere, but stopped by on our way past—and imagine our surprise to see that a band was about to start playing luckily for us with 35 minutes late! Maybe there should have a relay of information between the reception and animation

I had a really nice stay at this hotel. Indeed, the hotel / rooms could use some renovation, but my room was very clean, comfortable and the daily housekeeping was excellent. Check-in and check-out were smooth. The surroundings are absolutely stunning and it's very convenient to have the beach right at your doorstep. A special mention to Marie Claire from the breakfast team - she was so sweet and hospitable. Highly recommend her and the overall experience!

This hotel is very run down and not well maintained. We had a suite and there were bugs throughout the room. Our faucet was falling off the sink. I would not recommend this place.

Great location, the front desk attendants can be friendlier however they were accommodating, the hotel is honestly cleaner than I expected. the view is to die for. The beach right behind the rooms changes everything. I would have loved to have a cafe or something that has snacks near when it’s not time for meals but not a big deal. And most of all the dancers and performers had my heart very beautiful and entertaining.overall would definitely go again.

We stayed for four days in a “suite”, and despite my efforts, I couldn’t find a single positive aspect about this hotel. The staff, if you speak English, either don’t understand you or are completely unprofessional. The receptionists were rude and arrogant, provided no information at all, and if you asked them something, they would barely reply. On the beach, there were homeless people urinating between the sunbeds and shouting (definitely not safe for children). It’s unbelievable that no one takes action—in fact, the security staff said this was normal. Everything was dirty, from the room, where it seemed they only made the bed (even though we left generous tips), to the common areas. I’ve never experienced such poor service anywhere in the world, and I’ve stayed in many hotels globally. When I asked for a fresh towel, they sent me to the reception, and shockingly, they didn’t have any available, again saying it was “normal.” Avoid this hotel if you don’t want to ruin your vacation, especially if you don’t speak French.

I usually don’t leave reviews. I felt I had to after reading the negative ones for this hotel. So first, I have no idea why there are negative reviews here. The hotel is situated along a beautiful beach with plenty of chairs. The pool overlooks the water and is also beautiful. Everything is spotless. Yes the rooms are dated but why does one need the latest tiles and colour trends to feel comfortable? This is lost on me. We travelled from place to place in Guadeloupe in order to experience the island. Our last leg was this hotel and perhaps the best part of my trip was Keriane at the reception desk. She is truly a gem. Friendly, helpful and honestly made my trip. I have travelled all over the Caribbean and south America Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Rebublic, Martinique, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Costa Rica and Guadeloupe and have yet to encounter a staff member so dedicated to the client. While she stood out, all of the staff were exceptional here. I would go back without hesitation.
