Lovely stay with great surroundings|We had a very pleasant stay at Madame Vacances – Résidence Les Rives Marines. The location is beautiful, close to the marina and perfect for relaxing walks. The residence itself is well laid out, with a nice pool area and a calm, holiday atmosphere.|The accommodation was clean, practical, and suited our needs, and the overall setting felt peaceful and family-friendly. It’s a great place if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy the surroundings rather than a busy hotel experience.|Overall, a good stay with a nice balance of comfort, location, and value. We would consider coming back again.
We booked a 1 bed apartment through Leavetown.com and it was a lot cheaper than Airbnb. The photos used by all the websites show the site as it was a few years ago - freshly painted and looking smart. It’s fair to say the woodwork on the apartments now all look like they need a revamp. BUT, look past the exterior woodwork and what you get is a spacious, clean and functional apartment. It’s very spartan inside but everything worked. The reception team were very helpful and courteous. The pool is beautifully clean and tidy with chairs and loungers around it. There was lots of free parking next to the Reception, but none next to your apartment. There are washing machines on site and you can pay for them with a credit card. Dependent on when you’re there ( we stayed in late June) you may also have house martins nesting in the eaves. They were very cute to watch but it did mean we didn’t sit outside as they were swooping in and out to feed their chicks. Le Teich is small but has a few shops. However, we could not find a Bar that was open. The only Bar was not open (maybe closed down or maybe they were on holiday?) so there was nowhere to just walk and get a drink. The surrounding area is great for cycling or visiting the beaches near Arcachon. The park next to the nature reserve often had evening events on which was nice to be able to walk over and listen to.
We were not impressed with the accommodation. It looks much neater in the pictures. The accommodation is dated, it needed a good clean and a paint, WiFi is free at the reception but there is no reason why you would want to sit among trolleys of linen. The receptionist implied that as we were on Holidays why would we want WiFi. If you want room WiFi you have to pay €25 for a week but it ain’t great. Towels were extra, and if you wanted to change them they charged. There is a constant noise in the apartment . We stayed 3 nights out of. 7 and left.
This place really is terrible! We had pre paid our trip but stayed for just one night which probably tells its own story! They seem more interested in trying to make money from your departure if you read the other reviews. An 80Euro deposit was demanded before we got our key yet i was not allowed to leave cash? only card details? we then paid for bedding/wifi/tele as an extra and the apartment was very substandard. The bed was like a park bench and the pillows were so worn they were almost see through. Its a shame i can't upload the recording of the building site next door which started work with cranes and circular saws at 6 am approx 100 yards away from our bedroom window. Had the reception been open past 7pm we would have left without staying even a night. This really is terrible, don't put yourself through it and find somewhere else!
We arrived early for check in and had no problem checking in early.Granted that this was off season but the place was still very busy.||I had read some of the reviews and had decided to take a chance. This is not normally the type of place we would book.||We found the apartement very clean and all equipment worked well. Our apartement was situated on the out skirts with a lovely view. The pool area was very clean and we enjoyed afternoons in the sun by the pool. This was needed after climbing the sand dune at Pilat!||The bed and the ssofa were very comfortable.||The only negative is that the design on the apartements means that the upstairs veranda was over ours and when the neighbours decided to shake their sandy towels we were covered until we told them to stop. They were very young and I am sure had not realised this would occur and they stopped when told. It was very quiet from 9pm.||The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout.||Ideally situated for visits to Arachon and the Dune du Pilat.
We we supposed to stay here for 3 nights in August. However on arrival we found the apartment to be substandard, bird droppings and a nest on the terrace, broken hinge on a blanket box, rotten window in the bathroom, extremely basic, long queues in the reception. It took us 4 hours to try to resolve the situation between booking.com and the hotel but in the end we decided to stay elsewhere. Even though we did not stay here we never got a penny back. Terrible experience. You have to pay for bed sheets, cleaning and other facilities and even to buy a baguette in the morning you have to order a day before. Why do people stay here? It is a big mystery. Avoid at all costs.
We had a great vacation this summer . We stayed for 11 nights and the apartment had everything we needed.|I think the kitchen utilities are a little old and could be changed .|Everything is nice and clean.|The staff is very helpful. |The pool is clean and very secure for the kids.|The only thing we missed is that it's a very quiet place and town so there is not a lot to do in the evening and night ,but it has nothing to do with Madame vacances.|It's a very good price quality you really get what you payed for.|The only thing you need to keep in mind you need a car if you don't want to sit by the pool all day.|
Nice little vacation village in the outskirts of Le Teich close to a little port and a nature reserve. The apartments ranges from 2-8 persons and we stayed in an 8 person one that comprised of two bedrooms with double beds (one downstairs and one upstairs), a double bed on the landing of the second floor and a sofa bed in the living room. each floor had a small bathroom and a tiny toilet. The living room/kitchenette was light and airy, with an exit to a small deckthat looked out over the pool area. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with crockery, cutlery and glasses for 8-12 people, as well as a range of cookware. Kitchen appliances consisted of the usual suspects but no oven. The downstairs bedroom was small with barely room for the bed and a single bed table. No closet space. Both bedrooms upstairs had closets. The overall impression of the apartment itself was that the interior was dated and in some places more than well worn, loose skirting boards, mold and water stains near the floor in bathrooms and kitchen. On top of this there were old food/toothpaste stains on the walls. Considering a long list of potential “fines” being given if the place is not cleaned according to specifications, I wonder if the apartments are actually checked after departure as otherwise stated. Personally I don’t mind the slightly dated interior and the limitations of closet space. Le Teich seems like a sleepy little tourist town, though late my late September stay is probably not representative for high season life in the village. The area around Le Teich, the Arcachon Bay, the beaches of Arcachon, the Dune du Pilat are all well worth a visit. I would definitely visit again.
