Lovely place run by a great team with the quietest calmest kitchen I've ever seen (open). The owner designs the menus, cooks with an assistant, and waits on tables. She speaks six or seven languages. Truly multi-talented. We came with friends and had a lovely long Sunday lunch with nice wine, beautifully cooked food and a welcome friendly ambience. Unfortunately didn't take pictures of the food, we were too busy eating it. 😋
This place was a beautiful discovery. Everything was perfect: the food, the service and the atmosphere.
We ate here in the evening. The staff are very friendly it was a very pleasant atmosphere and the music was good. A lovely setting outside. Our meal had some fantastic flavours and it was good to experience food a little different. The chef has some good skills. The reason for the two stars is related to my starter and the wine. I had the moules in parsley which would have been fine except I should think 80% of the mussels were smashed and I had shell in every mouthful, and I wondered where they had come from. Our main course was the shared beef, beautifully cooked but not of French provenance which I would have expected for the price (70€). We chose a good wine, a 2018 Hector & Juliette except we noticed later that it was a 2020. That is not good. It was also opened away from our table and we did not have the cork which would be normal etiquette. We had a Kir as an aperitif (6€ each) and it would have been nice to have some olives or nibbles. The restaurant clearly has potential to be very successful, we live locally and eat out a lot but it will be a little time before we return. At 150€ for two it did not represent great value.
This place is adorable! We stopped on our way to visit a vineyard and had a super delicious, colourful and fresh lunch in a relaxed setting (a converted train station). We were greeted with a warm, smiling welcome and a lovely and original menu (we had the menu of the day with beautiful warm quiche and salad, salmon and root veg and then a carrot cake and coffee). These guys know what they’re doing with food and hospitality - pay them a visit!
We discovered this little gem on our way from Carcassone to Barcelona. We stopped here for lunch and the food&service were beyond our expectations, being in a small town, not on the main road. The food, wine and dessert were lovely. I would recommend it.
L'art et Gourmand has become one of my favorite places in the region. Great food, pleasant ambiance and what is very important for me as a vegetarian, they are flexible with the menu, always offering me vegetarian options, even if they don't exist in the carte. I also greatly appreciate the warm, smiling owner, always welcoming and speaking great English, for me her presence is creating half the atmosphere.
Service was amazing, waitress was kind and reactive Open kitchen it's really nice and make atmosphere amazing No word for describe how the good was good Highly recommended restaurant!
In an old yrain station...we went on recommendation from our gite hostess. Spot on with good innovative food (but not too out there), wonderful and friendly service.
