Nice walk, from parking it takes about 1.5 hr in total to cover everything. Entrance is free and open 24hrs. Parking is also cheap.

Great historical place, famous for its Vauban fortifications ! Old city very nice to walk into. Superb view from the ramparts, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink!

The old city center does not offer anything shocking, it is even quite boring. Everything is concentrated on one street, everything else is a mixture of old and renovated. Many medieval cities look better. However, if we look wider, in the context of the former defensive fortresses (tribute to master Vauban) in the city area, the picture is more varied. Despite being Monday, the parking lots and the main street were very crowded, I spent more than 1 hour parking - quite a bit from the old part of the city. The tour of the walls offers beautiful panoramas, but I was very disturbed by the excessive dog feces - disgusting and smelly - shame on dog owners!

We went on a Sunday, so not much was open besides a few cafes and maybe 2 souvenir shops. Still, this is a nice old town with much to see. Probably even better in early May on a Sunday without the crowds. Nice fort to walk around as well. First 2 hours of parking are free.

The shops on the main street have some interest gift ideas, local flavors, talents and traditions, a few really talented artists and sculptors. Very old buildings. Very interesting visit even more so when there are events planned.

The Briançon old city is absolutely beautifu, with many small shops and artisan boutiques. The fort is also impressive and worth a visit. From there the view is beautiful

Interesting old town,took a walk around the walls and inner streets. A great fest, community theatre. Breathtaking sunset. Outside the walls a great boulangerie with fantastic mille feuille.
