CATOURET

Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Cahors was one of those places that completely exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it's impressive, but once you step through the doors, the scale and beauty of the cathedral really hit you. The architecture is incredible, with massive domes, beautiful stonework, and details everywhere you look. I found myself constantly stopping to admire something new, whether it was the stained glass, the carvings, or simply the way the light filtered through the building. What I loved most was the atmosphere. Even with other visitors around, it felt peaceful and authentic rather than crowded or touristy. You can feel the centuries of history in the walls, and it's easy to imagine all the people who have passed through here over the years. The cathedral is beautifully maintained and well worth taking your time to explore. If you're visiting Cahors, don't just walk by and snap a photo from outside—go inside and spend a while soaking it all in. It ended up being one of the highlights of my time in the region.

A masterpiece of architecture in Cahors, well worth a brief visit. I walked into a Sunday afternoon service and there would have been live classical concert in the evening hosted at the cathedral for free. The building is situated in the beautiful old town of picturesque Cahors. The ceiling paintings are breathtaking and the many colourful glass windows are wrapping the church's interior into a nice ambiance.

So beautiful. Worth to be seen. This cathedral has Jesus's head cover cloth when he has been killed

Cahors wine market Saturday morning and Wednesday morning Cahors got a beautiful bridge the Valentre good place to go for a weekend and holiday close to Toulouse and the pyrenees mountains close to the sea with Biscaross Dune du Pyla close the district les Landes Let's go to Occitanie for your holiday

Magnificent displays of Religious architectural delights. Not much room in the inn though, for the rather drunk local 🤔

Beautiful Cathedral in every way. Go to see the headpiece of Christ's burial cloths. On display for the 900 yr anniversary.

A beautiful and inspiring experience. Plan to spend an hour or more slowly exploring this immense building. There are lots of ‘individual chapel’ areas around the inside walls each with a different purpose, story or history. Lots to read and contemplate and maybe reflect upon.

Nice cathedral located in central cahors. Has some modern stained glass windows.
