Food was very well presented and the children loved the fish and chips. Good service.
Le Transat, Bénodet is a large restaurant with views over the Odet river and with plenty of outside seating for use when the weather is good. Service was good and staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice vibe and was reasonably busy for a slightly damp September day. We enjoyed our meal, the Rillettes de Cochon mason was tasty as were the Assiette de crevetttes rose our main courses of moules frites and pavé de saumon, Dahl de lentils verts (roasted salmon with lentil Dahl. There is a large car park nearby, we didn’t book in advance, but this would be recommended in busier months.
As a vegetarian it’s always a bit tricky finding decent food in France. This place offered a small range of dishes but what I got was actually decent. A burger was really the only option for a main but they didn’t well. My meat eating family did way better with their dishes.
Wow a must try! Fresh and tasty seafood but for the non seafood likers there is a huge variety of meals like steak and burgers. Kids menu for 11€ which includes a main, drink and dessert. I had the seafood soup for my entree which was like a beautiful seafood tomato bisque. For my.mains I had half a crab and 5 oysters. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. At one point I was having problems opening.the crab legs, the waitress came over to offer her help! The restaurant is situated opposite the whalf where.there is a massive car park. Very clean toilets.Would definitely recommend going to Le Transat!
Had lunch there- grilled sardines, and to be honest not the best I’ve had - good but not great- though the roasted new potatoes were excellent. I was slightly disappointed, but Mrs j had a chicken brochette that she was very pleased with. The sardines were a lunchtime deal, and that included a cafe gourmand. I had no idea what this was (desserts are really not my thing) - it turns out to be an expresso coffee with a tray of four or five mini desserts, each of which was a specialty of the region. A really nice touch. It’s a nice location by the estuary, good value, friendly and efficient.
Glorious views of the river and nice selection of drinks for a nice afternoon in the sun!
Super nice staff, great variety of delicious food and tasty wines. Excellent espresso and cappuccino
Excellent food and view; it’s very busy so I would book and be prepared to wait a while, but it’s worth it.
