LA COMETE

This place is outstanding! Excellent service, incredible food, relaxed atmosphere. You have to try it. The chef is top notch in my opinion. I tried one of their specials and my family ate off the menu. You can’t go wrong!! Exceptional food quality.

Stopped in for a drink after the riot police came out! Apparently the Paris youth take their football team very seriously and once they won the title again they used it as an excuse to be hoodlums. The staff were super friendly, prompt service, and generous with their pours. They have a good whiskey selection and a fair amount of beer as well. I only had a small appetizer but it was great!

Lovely atmosphere, great and attentive staff! Classic French bistro cuisines are served until late night. I had confit and shared a cheese platter and escargot. Great but quite basic cheese selection, confit was beautifully cooked but was quite generous with seasoning.

La Comète is one of those places where you immediately feel you’re in good hands. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, without ever compromising on quality or attention to detail. The food was truly delightful. The dishes are beautifully presented and clearly prepared with a strong sense of flavor, balance, and high-quality ingredients. Every bite feels well thought out — a harmonious mix of classic elements and small surprises — and you leave the table satisfied yet somehow wanting more. The service is absolutely top-notch. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and you really feel seen as a guest. They are helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable about both the menu and the wines, which elevates the whole experience even further. All in all, La Comète delivers on every level: food, atmosphere, and service. A clear recommendation from me.

We had an amazing dinner here! Gertrude gave great dinner and wonderful cocktail recommendations. The Duck confit was delicious. So were the snails according to my bf I did not try them but he ate a dozen so safe to say they are good. The peach clafouti was divine! overall fair price. There is a happy hour from 17-21:30 where cocktails are €7

One of the best happy hours in Paris. The drinks are great. I’ve had their food once, and it was alright but nothing spectacular. I really just love this place for their drink selection. If only they would add a margarita to their menu 😉

Spectacular! I did not think I would walk into such a great French experience at La Comet on my last day in Paris. I was quite hungry and was welcomed by friendly staff. The table was set perfectly to me, tea pot was filled with hot water with loosen black tea lea. The orange juice was freshly pressed (which is a big plus!) and came with a strawl. The scarmbled eggs with salmon were delicious and there was plenty of Paris Baguette pieces offered in a bread bowl. I will defenitely come again and bring my whole family and friends. Thank you!

We’ve been here several times and it’s always a great choice. Comfort food done well, a warm and friendly atmosphere, and a place full of charm. One of those spots you’re always happy to come back to in Paris.
