Avis
We have just done the tour of the town hall on a Sunday afternoon. You book in advance and it was 8€ per person. The tour was really informative with great views from the towers.
Interesting monuments beautiful city center! Could use a few coffee shops open before 8 but besides that it's nice!
The Hotel de Ville was built in 1868 by Paul Abadie, architect of the Sacré-Coeur in Paris, on the site of the Count of Angoulême's castle, in the Gothic-Renaissance style. The only vestiges are the polygonal tower (a former 13C and 14C keep) and a 15C round tower in which Marguerite d'Angoulême is said to have been born.
