LA TRIADE

This is a magical place, we had a fantastic time, especially our daughter who loved feeding the animals each morning. They have a private chef who we booked for a meal which was excellent also. The views are incredible and the sunrises each day over the ever changing Pyreneean view was unforgettable. Something to note:- the 10 minute very bumpy track up to the house means that you are unlikely to go out each day, but more positively forces you to slow down and enjoy the relaxing environment. Overall though a very special stay (worthy of my 40th celebrations) and we would definitely come back for another visit in future!

Ideal home away from home for our two week summer vacation. Gîte Canigou was perfectly set up for our family of five. The kids enjoyed all the animals on the farm, plenty of trampoline jumping and were kept busy for hours. We all loved enjoying the freshly baked croissants delivered right to our door, lounging on the beautiful deck, relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub, meeting our neighbours at the Wednesday night community suppers and just taking in the amazing views. There were so many beautiful towns nearby to explore, each with something unique and always with an outdoor pool! La Taillede was the perfect home base to explore both hiking in the mountains and relaxing at the beach. Matt and Ali were wonderful hosts and always more than happy to help with an itinerary suggestion or a booking. Wish we could go back tomorrow!

We had an amazing 4 nights at La Taillede with our three sons. Matt, Ali, Olea and Simi were so welcoming and the entire place is calm and beautiful. The kids fed the animals, went for walks in the woods and rode the donkeys - didn’t want to leave! Thank you xx

A gorgeous and tranquil escape in the mountains. This family friendly working farm has the most charming accomodation with unrivalled views across the valley. We stayed in the stunning yurt which gives you total privacy and a magical family holiday. It is fully kitted out with kitchen and eco-shower but were treated to lovely hospitality and phenomenonal local food. We even had fresh bakery deliveries every morning. We took our food scraps to feed the pigs much to the kids delight. Ali, Matt and family will give you the warmest welcome. Would recommend 100%. We will be back!

Spent two days at La Taillede with friends and were wowed. The views, and surroundings are stunning, the gites and facilities are fab and exceeded all our expectations. It is self catering, and the kitchen is well equipped, and set up allows for indoor or outdoor cooking. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful and you can take advantage of the guided walks, and opportunities for foraging in their extensive woodlands.

I recently hosted a retreat here for my clients, and it was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms are of the highest standard,beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The location itself is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by nature and perfect for getting away from it all. The hosts were incredible, warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, making sure we had everything we needed to create an unforgettable experience. My clients couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything was, the space, the atmosphere, and the overall sense of peace and connection we felt. If you’re thinking about hosting a retreat or even just getting away for a few days, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a special place that brings out the best in people and I know we’ll be back!

Enjoyed both the yurt and Gite Cerise and both are fantastic in their own way- The yurt was warm at night even in September and it’s equipped with private kitchenette, WC and a hot shower! I loved the croissant delivery in the morning when booked in advance with Ali, eating breakfast outside and enjoying the amazing view of the Pyrénées was the highlight for me! At Gite Cerise you’ve got the splendid view and the fresh mountain air right at your doorstep! There’s plenty of parking and you’re closer to the action at the main house and the other gites. Overall it was super comfy, warm at night and had a modern kitchen and shower to make full use of. Highly recommend both the yurt and Gite Cerise if you want to experience the best of the Pyrénées mountains!

We had a fabulous two weeks at La Taillede. Ali and Matt have created a calm and relaxing as well as friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the pool (including the ‘swinging beds’), the great hikes nearby, and eating outside with amazing views. We stayed in the Gite Cerise which was cool and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. We loved the tradition of a communal meal once a week and we liked being surrounded by farm animals. It was great to be able to get fresh eggs and bread (and croissants!) whenever we needed them. And Audrey is an amazing masseuse. We were very sad to leave and will no doubt be back soon.
