A real treat in Lyon. You will believe they have been in business for 50 years. The management is flawless, the wait staff are fantastic and the food is delicious. My wife and I both had the aubergine parmesana, a specialty of the restaurant. Now, the reason I ordered the aubergine parmesana is because I was once a chef for an Italian restaurant in the U.S. and my own specialty dish is aubergine parmesana. What they brought me was a beautiful dish of marinated aubergine that is then grilled and stacked neatly on a round of polenta. Both pesto and a red sauce are delicately, artistically dabbed around the plate. It was beyond delicious. In a showdown of our aubergine dishes I lose to Chez Carlo. We had an appetizer that we shared, a cheese and vegetable selection with rustic bread. Great selection of cheeses and some excellent artichoke hearts, pickled onions and marinated red pepper. They have an excellent wine selection and, for the Summer, excellent chilled whites. This is a large place with a large outdoor dining area. When it's warm you must sit outside. Now I have said this is a large restaurant with many tables, but when you go there I suggest you make a reservation. We made reservations and the place was packed, but the manager still managed to find a couple of good tables for some drop-ins. If you forget to make a reservation it is still more than worth the wait to see if you can get a table -- my guess is that you should be okay. The thing to remember is that they may have a lot of customers but the kitchen crew and chef clearly have their pride and every dish comes out beautiful and properly cooked and seasoned. The street is beautiful, especially at dusk. Best news of all, this is a casual restaurant -- dress as you like. This is a restaurant that, although incredibly efficient, is so very relaxing. Stopped in during the Festival of Lights because it looked good and the young man out front was incredibly cordial. The pizzas looked good but I chose aubergine with polenta. It was something any Italian grandmother would be proud of. The staff was competent, kind and simply suberb. & The hot wine, loaded with cinnamon was delightful.

We have been here 3 nights out of our 4 nights in Lyon. The food is absolutely delicious. The wood fired pizzas are so light and full of delicious toppings, so fresh and authentic. Reasonably priced for Lyon, only one street back from Rue de Republic

The service was great, very friendly and attentive. I had an eggplant pizza, it was very good, it tasted so fresh. The desserts were good but not great. They use what seems like frozen yogurt for the profiterole instead of real ice cream. The tiramisu had great flavor. Eating the pizza was a bit difficult as the table is so smooth that the plate slides around a lot when trying to cut into the pizza. I had to be careful not to knock into my drink.

What an amazing find! If you're looking for some amazing italian food while in Lyon, look no more. We had such a great meal here. I have eggplant parmigiano nearly every place I can, and this was by far the best I've had. The beef stew was succulent and filling. Great meal; very satisfying. We spent ~35 Euro pp with a 50ml Chianti.

Great food, although my risotto was still a bit hard, their pizza is so good, small but tasty. The lemon dessert was delicious. Great service but this place is tiny so not much atmosphere. I'd go back and sit outside.

An automatic italian experience ، the staff was friendly, the vibe was great and the food was amazing, also not easy for me to like Italian food because i was a lot in Italy and i cook italian food also as a chef . Keep it up so 5 start for you .
