There are certain baseline expectations when you stay at a 5 star resort and sadly I can confirm that they were not met on our trip to the JW Cannes. The air conditioning went out for an entire night — a full hotel outage. On the Mediterranean, in peak season, in a room you're paying a significant premium for, this is simply not acceptable. On a separate occasion, room service staff left our balcony door open for hours while we were out — we returned to a room full of insects and roughly €1,000 of wine damaged by heat. The balcony door also did not lock btw. The bigger structural issue that you need to be aware of before going is the beach. The JW does not come with beach access included. Their beach club charges separately per sun bed, at prices worse than the renowned Carleton or Hyde Beach which offer a far better experience for less money. The JW pool is a joke and doesn't compensate for any of this (it's small, fenced, and feels entirely out of place at a property of this supposed caliber - it's worse than a kiddy pool in a gated Florida community). When we raised all of this with the property manager, the resolution offered was a points compensation worth less than a single standard night at this hotel. Not a partial refund, not a gesture proportionate to multiple documented failures — just a token that made clear that working it out through the proper channels was a waste of time - don't waste your breath. The location is genuinely unbeatable. The hotel and management behind it is not.

Lovely stay. I’ve slept incredibly well. The hotel is very centrally located and the service overall is great. The housekeepers are very personable as well. I had room service a few times and sat in the restaurant twice; the salmon is exceptional and I had it three days in a row (once in the restaurant downstairs), as well as the cheesecake. I do not recommend the French onion soup or Caesar salad though, both mediocre at best. Cold, boiled chicken added to a salad you can get in a mix bag at a grocery store, and the French onion soup lacks taste unfortunately. The lasagna and panna cotta are good too, but the salmon and cheesecake were by far my favourite. The Prosecco Treviso is great and the Bellini as well. Overall a great stay and I’d return.

The staff is great, kind and accommodating. Breakfast is great. Restaurant Scalini is good. Rooms are a bit old but still “having it”. Parking doesn’t belong to hotel but we were able to park every night (cost about $37 /day). Right in the Croisette with the sea view. Got no chance to use the rooftop pool due to Film festival construction going on.

We had a wonderful stay at JW Marriott Cannes and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The property is perfectly centrally located, making it ideal for exploring Cannes and enjoying everything nearby. We were kindly upgraded to a beautiful corner suite with a stunning view. The room was spacious, the terrace and balcony were amazing, and it made our stay even more special. The overall comfort and ambiance were excellent, and the service throughout was top notch. A special thank you to Ekatarina, who was incredibly helpful and very pleasant. She truly made our stay feel warm and welcoming, and we are grateful for her kindness and support during our visit. One of the best hotels to stay in Cannes, and we look forward to returning.

This was a return stay, and overall we had a good experience. However, the housekeeping standards were not as good as during our last visit, especially the towels. Perhaps there was a different staff member in charge this time.

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Cannes and had a good overall experience, but there were some notable issues that I believe need to be addressed. First, the check-in process was not as smooth as I expected. Although the official check-in time is at 4 PM, I arrived at 3 PM and found that my room was ready. However, I had to ask about it before they handed over the keys. This lack of proactive communication was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Another significant concern was the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service was very poor during my stay. There were two days when my room was not cleaned at all. Despite my repeated requests for cleaning, the staff did not respond adequately. I would leave the room around 9:30 AM and return at 2 PM, only to find that the room had not been touched. Even after going out again from 4 PM and returning at 10:30 PM, the room was still not cleaned. This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel of this reputation. In summary, while the facilities and ambiance of JW Marriott Cannes are enjoyable, the check-in process and housekeeping services need significant improvement. I hope my feedback helps enhance the experience for future guests.

Really enjoyed our stay at the JW Marriott Cannes. The rooms were very clean and well looked after, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the location is right in the middle of Cannes so everything is within easy reach. A special thank you to Salvatore who assisted us at checkout. He was incredibly kind and friendly, and made our departure smooth and pleasant. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at the JW Marriott Cannes was perfect in every way. From arrival to checkout, the service was truly impeccable. The hotel offers valet parking, which was ideal for our arrival by car. The luxury suite with a balcony and sea view that we stayed in left absolutely nothing to be desired. I also highly recommend booking a table at the Scalini restaurant located in the hotel. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. We will definitely be back!
