Very interesting, a man who did so much and yet retired to a fairly humble place. Well presented and good staff.
Fascinating house and garden. Very calm feeling being there. Not a lot to see but fascinating to see how Clemenceau lived. He claimed he was France's first Bhudhist. Be sure to download the app which I only noticed on the way out. It brings each room to life with actors. It was a treat for me especially to chance on this place as on my cycle tour I am reading Paris 1919 about the Versailles Treaty
Loved everything about our trip to la maison de Clemenceau. Wonderful to visit a French historic site so well preserved and well maintained that it really gave you a flavour of what it would have been like to live there and why Clemenceau chose this particular spot. On a beautiful summer's day, free parking - fantastic!
Great beach for walk8ng / kite surfing and sun bathing ..waves quite big when swimming / few rocks to left more sandy to the right
Friendly staff but quite a small garden. Don't come expecting Giverney. Pamphlet is in English but not the descriptive boards in the house.
Not very crowded, accesibile but a bit rocky.
Modest house by the sea where he enjoyed his retirement years tending his large garden and getting advice from his friend Monet. My grandson enjoyed his visit. Picnic area nearby and plenty of car park space. He entertained other important people at his home. Very nice guides and gift shop.
Great place to learn how George Clemenceau lived
