East Park is a great place to spend a day with the family. In addition to wakeboarding, the park also has a water park for kids and stand up paddleboarding for all ages. (Check opening hours on the Website) The water park is a great place for kids to cool off and have fun. There are a variety of inflatable obstacles to climb and slide on. The lifeguards are always on duty and keep a close eye on everyone. Stand up paddleboarding is a great way to relax and get some exercise. The staff is friendly and helpful. Whether you're looking for a place to wakeboard, paddleboard or just want to relax with a drink, East Park has something for everyone. The crew is great, the food is excellent, and the facilities are top-notch. I highly recommend it!

The park is quite nice. What's a minor inconvenience is it's a bit far from the parking lot to the lift and you have to walk across gravel. The online booking system works well though. What I really disliked was the park manager. He was driving the lift the first time I was there. I'm not an experienced rider and dropped out before the last deflection roll. He proceeded to scream at me first in french, then in English about how that would break the lift and he'd be watching me for the rest of my stay. When I tried to explain that I am sorry and did not know about the rule, which doesn't exist in the park I first learned to ride, he shut me up with "I'm the park manager, I'm talking." Not only is it extremely impolite and shows a lack of character to talk to customers in such a way, it also shows a lack of managerial problem solving skills. It's quite obvious that people dropping out in the wrong place happens often (see other reviews). If it keeps happening that people drop out in the wrong places, potentially harming the lift or other riders, as a park manager I need to ask myself how I can take preventative measures against this. Most people don't act in bad faith but simply lack the knowledge where it's ok to drop out. So put up a sign in the starting area to highlight where you can and can't drop out. Don't scream at your paying customers. That's how you loose them. If the manager is not willing to learn how to properly manage such an establishment, he needs to be replaced.

We enjoyed the obstacle course in the water with kids, it is big enough to not feel crowded even with many people. It is exciting to have such a place in the nearby. It was fun, stuff was helpful and we will surely come back! The lack of changing rooms was confusing and is the main reason for one less star, hope that will improve in the future, even simple wooden structures where you could change your clothes would do the job. The bar looks nice but we haven't tried it yet. The place with vibes! Good luck!

Great wakecable (clockwise). Biggest disappointment first: swimming/bathing is forbidden at all places of the big lake! (Unless you wakeboard or use the waterpark -> big downer for families/accompanying people with air temperatures 25C and up!) +staff very friendly, helpful, flexible(!) and accomodating. +super fun and not 08/15 obstacles and cable in a good state +rental materials in a good state ~location: warm water in end of May, BUT air gets super hot in the former gravel mining pit ~ food and drinks are okay-ish, no gourmet-menues ~unlike other cables they limit the number of people per time wakeboarding, so queuing never gets too long -> great for riders with reservation, but can be disappointing for spontaneous people WITHOUT reservation. - swimming is forbidden everywhere, no refreshment for smaller children or accompanying people, just gettin' roasted next to the beautiful lake. - changing rooms are a bit of a make-do - NO REFRESHMENT POSSIBILITIES (swimming) - road down from parkinglot (no shadow!) is a pain with kids/prams/... - barely any walk-in capacity -lots of algae - downer for people with phobia like me ;).

East Park is an ultimate destination for wakeboarding lovers in the district. From their high-end features and safety measures to the welcoming community and incredibly helpful staff, it is a perfect place for both - advanced riders as well as beginners. Thank you for doing this, guys 🖤

Cool surfer vibe but not good for experienced folks. After my first 2 rounds they disconnected me and told me to keep it down because I would "destroy their cable system". Also they only do 26kmh, which feels like keelhauling. Evening for 1h they do 30, but only if no more beginners are there (coin flip really). Also they get extremely upset for basic things like blocking the rope with your board if you don't have time to swim out of harms way. If you don't wake like an absolute beginner they can get very unfriendly. I went to Freiburg after and there really is no competition going on here. Faster speed, more obstacles, tolerating and supportive people. Also it's not in the middle of nowhere, you can go shopping and actually do stuff there. 3 Stars because the food, beach and music is nice, but for anything wakeboard hard no if you're experienced. Tldr Go to Freiburg its worth the extra distance.
