We stayed three nights in a bungalow facing the beach. The buildings are made from containers but inside is a very comfortable living space. The living space had two rooms, one large room with a king size bed surrounded by mosquito netting and a small room with a bunk bed. There was no Wi-Fi, iron, ironing board or TV in the room. To access Wi-Fi, you have to go to the restaurant. I have no idea how often the towels are changed. We have a habit of using our towels more than once, however, the one we put on the floor the first day was not picked as long as we were there. Dinner in the restaurant was okay breakfast was minimal. There is no need to go on a hike to see lemurs if you stay at this hotel, they are all over the landscape and frequent visitors to the dining room.

To the administration. First of all I would recommend you start separate google pages for the services offered at the resort. You’ll never get good reviews with all amenities grouped as one affiliate. Dive shop 5++ star Bar area 4 star Resort 5 star Restaurant 1 star The DIVE SHOP here is fantastic! They were very accommodating to us only speaking English. Always helpful and informative, the boat is nice but the floor needs work as it is slippery and gives off metal splinters. Gear is great. We saw loads of wildlife in the pass and fun to swim with sharks. The BAR AREA had a friendly staff and the snacks looked nice, but when we went to order food they had ran out of what we wanted. The RESORT is beautiful and I love how they incorporated the use of shipping containers into the construction. We didn’t stay a night but it looks great and the beach is well kept, I really like seeing the hard work to conserve the sea turtle nests. Staff all friendly. The RESTAURANT on the other hand… if you are looking at the photo I posted can you imagine paying $20 euro for that? The burger was a large bun with a small amount of very over cooked dry meat and no veggies at all, the fries were soggy and not crisp like they should be. The second meal was supposed to be a chicken Cesar salad with extra anchovies. Holy smokes this is the worst interpretation of a Cesar I’ve ever seen! The size was good but a yogurt like dressing with no flavor whatsoever. I think you have a lot of room for improvement. Separate google pages and a real chef for the restaurant. Good luck and thank you to the dive shop. You guys should be running the whole place!

I had a great weekend at Le Jardin Maore in Mayotte. The hotel is nice, rooms are small but innovative as they are perfectly made from containers and are equipped with what you need including a Nespresso coffee machine! The only negative was a very poor internet and basic food. The highlight was experiencing the very professional diving center with a great team of experienced divers. The instructors were friendly and highly professional and the atmosphere was great. I can definitely recommend it for anyone looking to explore the depths of the Indian Ocean.

This place is a dream one to recharge and relax. The location is stunning. The bungalows are rustic, getting slightly old but so cool and so authentic. You have the Maquis monkeys all around and in the front of the place is filled of turtles and a wonderful coral reef.|The dinner food is outstanding and we'll cooked. |The breakfast coule be mire diverse for the price with more ocal food food. ||The big BUT is that this place is not fulfilling its accountability of environment preservation at all: there only very discreet sign on what to do/not to do with animals. As a result: we saw the worst: many people feeding the monkeys while this will simply humanized them up until they will become thief and voient towards human. And the worst of all, there is only one small indication on how to behave in the turtle environment and as a result we saw many people walking on the water grass (food for turtles) and on the coral reef destroying all the environment and people getting very close to then and even toucbing them...one day they will be all gone. This hotel should do FAR MORE to preserve this outstanding environment there are living on. Very dispointing.

We enjoyed our stay in Le Jardin Maore Lodge in Mayotte. We booked Superior family room with Sea View, and the room setup was very elegant and comfortable with all required aminities. The hotel service and the staff were superior too. Special thanks to Ms. Delfin who facilitated our requirements and airport transfer and also assisted in having special dinner dishes request from the Chef. One improvement is required from the hotel management for providing WIFI in the room as it is currently available in the reception and the bar only

Plage N’Gouja is one of the great unspoiled beaches of the world. About a half a mile of clear blue lagoon (all of Mayotte is surrounded by a lagoon) that extends as far as you can see in the distance, with hardly a wave. Swim out to the coral - maybe 300 meters of easy, flat water - and you’ll see quantities of fish rarely seen elsewhere, and green turtles every way you turn!||Unfortunately for guests, the beach is also a public beach, so weekends can be busy and noisy. This is the prime beach on the island.||The accommodations are ok but nothing to rave about. All are set back a ways from the water and have lounge chairs so you can enjoy the cool shade when you’re not at the beach.||Food is good but expensive - after all, this is France. And the staff are not unfriendly, but you definitely get a sense of “they’re not happy I am creating work” though they serve everything you need in decent time. WiFi is set up to work at the bars and in each bungalow but not all of them work - though you can get what you need. Kayaks, snorkels, paddle boards all free of charge for staying guests.||Stay for a few days and get your fill of turtles and move on. At these prices you should be getting pampered a bit more.

I will start with the pros: |- nature is gorgeous: the beach, the sea, the coral reef, the turtles;|- Claire, the lady at the reception is super. She is extremely nice and always willing to help and solve the issues (many) you encounter;|- people at diving center are nice and almost all of them speak English.||Cons:|- the lodges are awful. Even the alleged “superior” ones are adequate for no more than a 1 or 2 stars hotel;|- service is terribly slow both at the restaurant and at the reception (aside for Claire);|- local people working at the restaurant and at the reception are not at all trained for doing their job, they seem not to understand problems and they do not care to solve them;|- diving center has no service at all, you have to do everything on your own from bringing your gear to the boat to wash it;|- prices are absolutely crazy for what your got. ||Overall it is not worth the money you spend and as a matter of fact it was half empty even the second week of August. |Hopefully someone with high level European experience of hospitality will assume management since the place has lots of potentials. With very little investment and customer care it could be a paradise.
