DIJON PISCINE SPA

A very new renovation. There's an indoor pool for kids, a toddler pool indoors, a fountain play area outside, and a very large outdoor lap pool that is apparently open year-round. There's a snack bar and a picnic area. Very pleasant and I appreciate that the tiles they put in aren't too slippery (I can't say the same for some other pools).

Went to the pool. Spent about €18 for me and my boy to get in which included buying a funny hat that was insisted on if entering the pool . After entering and getting in the pool , told we both had the wrong kind of swimming trunks on ! Offered to sell us some ! We left .. asked for a refund .. Would only give credit note , which is no good as we are travelling through . I have no idea what the logic is around only being able to wear one style of trunks 🙄

I'm an international student here in Burgundy University, and I would like to express many thanks to your swimming pool - Carrousel. I have some serious problems with my back and it got worse during the lockdown, because all the swimming pools were closed. I need a swimming pool to relieve pain and this is the only swimming pool I know that opened before any other pools. I visited Carrousel three times - in October 2020 and twice in January 2021. I am very impressed by the pool: 4 private showers (2 for the wheelchair users), pleasantly warm water temperature of the outdoor pool - it is comfortable to swim even in winter! Especially when you keep your head underwater most of the time ;). Lifeguards are also paying attention to the swimmers and they patrol around the pool, so I feel safe, unlike in my country, where lifeguards use their phones most of the time. But most importantly, the staff speaks English!!! This is such a rarity in France. The staff is very helpful (especially the woman in glasses), I was not embarrassed to admit that I do not know what to do (e.g., how to lock the lockers or even how to enter or exit the pool), because in my country I have a completely different system. Everything was new to me, but the staff was very helpful and explained everything to me in easy-to-understand English. Finally, I am very thankful to your pool that you opened on 4th of January, because there are some people like me who have severe back pain, and swimming is the only relief. The student ticket is 3.5 EUR - the same as in my country, so the prices are liberal. There are also two mini pools for kids - it is pleasant to see happy families with their children there.

The only piscine that's still open since the curfew after 24th October. Because they have an outside pool that's rather cold (good for swimming). They make you wear speedos and a bath cap (maybe this is normal in France?)
