Our group stayed in the hotel for one night. My room was beautiful and it had a great view. We had a lovely breakfast and since 4 of us decided to not to join the others in the hike, the owner Stella took us in her car to the lake and even picked us up and showed us the beautiful surroundings. It was a lovely experience and a generous gesture.
Welcoming hosts, very clean room, great location for hiking. Stella, one of the proprietors, treated everyone like family! The breakfasts were very good. The hotel is ideally located for exploring the village. My room was small, but clean and adequate for the amount of time I spent in it
Excellent one night stay. Very friendly welcome, walked into town and had a very good meal at the Brasserie Acquviva. We left early so didn't try breakfast. The rooms are very tastefully done, with excellent, modern showers. Recommended. Photos show the swimming pools at the bridge by Albertacce (5 mins down the road) and views of the centre of Calacuccia.
We booked for two nights and ended up staying for six. Nice comfortable room with its own sheltered balcony, very clean and a comfortable bed. The room faced the mountains at the back of the hotel with great views. The proprietors, Stella and Matthieu, are wonderfully welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Calacuccia is surrounded by stunning countryside and well positioned for all levels of walks. The hotel is something of a meeting place for the locals and we enjoyed our delicious breakfast as they called in for their coffees. An altogether enjoyable and memorable stay.
Stella is a lovely guest! I spent a few nights with a group. The accommodations are so comfortable. The meals and beverages and exactly what we needed.|I highly recommend if you would line to enjoy spending time with Stella.|I will be back! Merci, Stella 😉
Beautiful, well-equipped hotel suitable for discerning international guests. Recently renovated and maintains its charm. Air conditioning works very well. Comfortable bed and linens. Great breakfast and nice bar. Wifi is excellent, high-speed. Great atmosphere by the garden to work, read and take in the surroundings. If you are staying here I would highly recommend dinner at Pizza Chez Manu just down the road.
The welcome we received from owner Stella was so appreciated after a very long hike on the GR20. She came to collect us as it was late in the evening and organised dinner at the excellent local brasserie. The room was really comfortable, breakfast with local jam and croissants was perfect. With the hotel on the GT20 it's an ideal stop on the bike, if far from the hiking route of the GR20. To rejoin the GR20 the next day, local taxi driver J-Marie took us up to the start of the next day's climb in a spectacular 4x4 ride up the mountain. We can't recommend this place more highly.
A nice place to stop on a walking trip across the mountains. We had a warm welcome and the room was comfortable, with a small balcony. Breakfast was a simple traditional affair, with plenty of coffee and we felt accepted and welcomed despite our lack of fluent French
