Dear S.T. Dupont Team, I am writing to bring to your attention a disappointing customer experience I recently had while purchasing an S.T. Dupont lighter from your authorized retailer, Royal Collection, in Baku, Azerbaijan. First, the product was displayed with a price of 2,635 AZN. After I had already decided to purchase the item, I was informed that the system price had increased to 2,885 AZN. Such discrepancies between displayed and charged prices are highly concerning and do not reflect the standards expected from a luxury brand. Second, I was assured that Tax Free service was available. However, after the purchase process had progressed, I was informed that Tax Free could not be processed because I had entered Azerbaijan using my Turkish national ID card rather than my passport. As a Turkish citizen, entry with a national ID card is a lawful and common procedure. If this creates limitations for Tax Free processing, customers should be informed before the purchase decision is made. I requested assistance from the store manager, who acknowledged that my concerns were valid. Nevertheless, no effective solution was offered. As a long-time admirer of premium brands, I expected a significantly higher level of transparency, professionalism, and customer care from a retailer representing S.T. Dupont. Easily the worst customer service I've ever experienced from any company, globally. Purchased a pen from their high-end line which was missing a vital piece. After 6 months, perhaps 20 emails, and at least 10 phone calls, I'm still waiting for them to deliver it. Promise after promise is not kept, and now they've decided to just totally ignore emails from me all together.

The staff was very helpful in explaining the differences between the two lighters I was considering. I am amazed at the quality of these products.
