An off-the-beaten-path experience. You can see auction items before the auction (like a museum with ever-changing exhibits but more fascinating because they will be sold) and also experience live auctions. Worth a visit! Free. Just walk in and you're bound to see something.
A small and intimate space for a fashion show. The security staff needs some updates as organizing entry was hectic but afterwards they were quite helpful and courteous. For a small after party space, great for both mixing up and moving around for the drink and food service. All very eco-friendly.
“The place to be” for contemporary street art in September. 2019 edition shows Mr OBEY (Shepart Fairey) and several other nice artists. 3 floors and a café, parking underground and 10€ entrance fee. Also auction for some masterpieces on Sunday afternoon. Other events in the year.
I have edited my review and giving them more stars. The improvement is impressive and my previous criticism is out dated. Thank You and keep up the good work.
Cool auction house with varying prices for varying consumers.
the workers are not friendly and frown at you if you don’t speak french well :( they seemed to have a relatively big selection of items up for auction but I won’t be going back
Great auction house. A must for art collectors.
I love the Hotel Drouot but the new website updates are horrible. It's all style over substance. Once an auction has started you can no longer look at the whole catalogue of the auction. Instead it takes you to the live sale (a terrible change in my opinion) where you can only see the upcoming few lots. It's like Interencheres but far worse - at least there you can still see all the lots that have been and gone. Surely it's nice to be able to see the catalogue of the sale whilst it's going?
