I booked last minute because of a change of itinerary and on their website everything seemed perfect. Gym , pools, spa, michelin rated restaurant and I was very intrigued by the standalone villas. But Beware! The property is massive in expansion so the villa was 15 minutes by car from the central area of the hotel with all amenities. Secluded away gated and reachable only via unpaved off road unsuitable for sports and luxury cars. The lack of ( at least in our case , as they seemed all taken ) golf carts or other on site vehicles to get us to the hotel made it impossible to enjoy the amenities. The villa itself is charming, rustic, equipped with AC, but was plagued by water pressure issues. Also senseless to have a 2 story villa with only one bathroom on the top floor, no bathroom on the ground and no sofa bed in the huge double living room which would make sense if you have a family or simply like to sleep apart. The outdoor jacuzzi is nice, but the unpaved path to it make it challenging to use especially for ladies or children. The breakfast at our villa is nice although lacked basics like eggs and fruits. Overall, if you get the golf carts and know what to expect this is a great place for a longer stay. Service was friendly but quite 'ce la vie' to our issues . Completely unsuitable for what we wanted.

We arrived at Château de Berne excited for a relaxing long weekend in this stunning Provençal estate. The setting, grounds, vineyards, pools, and overall facilities (particularly the spa) are truly exceptional and largely live up to the luxury promise.||||Unfortunately, the service from most staff fell far short of 5-star standards. From check-in onward, we repeatedly had to flag down personnel for basic needs...drinks, information, or simple requests. This constant effort to get attention significantly detracted from our enjoyment and relaxation.||||Compounding the issue, the standard of English among many staff members was quite limited, making communication frustrating and inefficient despite the property’s international clientele and premium positioning. As someone who works in hospitality, I was surprised by what appeared to be gaps in training, staffing levels, or attentiveness — especially given the rates charged.||||We also found the handling of the Michelin-starred restaurant (Le Jardin de Berne) disappointing. The same kitchen and dining space are reused for both the breakfast buffet and evening dinner service. This lack of distinction in atmosphere and setup took away from the special “Michelin” experience. One expects a more transformed, refined ambiance for dinner rather than the same bright, daytime setup used for breakfast. While the food itself had strong moments, the continuity between services diminished the sense of occasion.||||That said, we want to sincerely thank the evening bar staff, the spa team, and the personal trainer/guide who took us on the 4x4 safari. They all delivered the professional, attentive care (and strong English) one expects at this level. Their excellence stood out and provided welcome bright spots.||||We hope management addresses these inconsistencies to better align the service and dining experience with the property’s beautiful setting, reputation, and price point. We won’t be returning based on this experience.

Super nice hotel! Everything about it is perfect. The Michellin dinner was also incredible. Worth the travel if you are visiting southern France.

Château de Berne is a truly exceptional destination. The estate has been impeccably restored, preserving its historic character while allowing the surrounding natural beauty to flourish. It’s beyond words The service is outstanding, with staff who are genuinely warm and attentive. Margerita at the front desk made us feel immediately welcome, and Nicholas led an excellent winery tour and tasting - knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the local production. Breakfast and the pool menu were both very good. We did not dine at the Michelin restaurant, though we found the food at the other restaurant - Le Bistrot - disappointing. That said, this did not diminish an otherwise wonderful stay. We would highly recommend Château de Berne and look forward to returning.

We had a great time at L’École de Cuisine with Emmanuel. The workshop stands out because of its personal approach: we were a small group of six, and everyone had their own ingredients and equipment to work with.||Through hands-on cooking, we improved our basic culinary skills while receiving skilled guidance, patient explanations, and helpful feedback from the chef, who took the time to answer every question. It truly felt like stepping into a real French Michelin-style kitchen.||What made the experience even more special was that everyone prepared and plated their own dishes, which we could then enjoy together afterwards. We were genuinely surprised by what we were able to create ourselves — everything tasted delicious.||The atmosphere, both in the kitchen and the beautiful outdoor setting, was magnificent. The wines and lunch afterwards were the perfect way to relax, chat, and finish off the experience after all the hard work. And best of all: we didn’t even have to do the dishes ourselves.||Thank you for this unique and memorable experience!

Very beautiful place. Big territory where you can walk around. Nice garden. Good food. Unfortunately indoor pool is opened only until 7pm. If you arrive just for one night in the evening it is impossible to use spa and pool. I think the working hours should be longer. There is no blackouts in the rooms. You wake up with the sun, hard to get a long by sleep.

Exceptional experience need to highlight Jesus at valet and the younger Sommelier. We have recently eaten at several 2 and 3 Michelin establishments and they are no where near the experience of this property, specifically when highlighting the Jardin. If you end up at another eatery on site, they will deliver to your high level expectations at the other location as well. Truly world class!

We did the activity "wine safari" and it was really fun and nice but also insightful. We did it with Maxi who has been very kind and friendly explaining really well most things about the chateau and its wines. Really suggested to explore nature, amazing vineyards landscapes and tasting good wine.
