Rented a couple of racing bikes. Lovely people and _such_ high quality bikes. Will be back if life takes me back to southern france!
This bike shop and cafe is one the best in france. Owner here is an absolute legend always helping me out staying on the road, you can sit and have a coffee to in their cafe while your bike is being fixed. Highly recommend
If you want to bike along the French Riviera, RBike Menton is the best way to do it. The staff are incredibly friendly, outfitted us with incredible bikes at an amazing price, and even gave us up to date route information and their recommendations for the best Italian food across the border. If I ever find myself back in Menton, I will be sure to rent bikes here again.
Great experience renting a mountain bike. I was in Menton on vacation and really wanted to get a ride in. Went to R Bikes, talked to Luciano and was set up with an e-mountain bike (VTTAE in local dialect) in minutes. He told me where to ride, St Agnes, where challenging mountain biking awaited. The bike (Fantic XeF) was basically brand new and was a terrific downhill bike. And the surrounding hills offer all kinds of mountain biking. I'm only sorry I don't have more time to make another day of it. Thanks Luciano and team! Here's a photo of one of the routes at St. Agnes.
Rented a city bike for my wife so we could do an evening ride together, and a race bike for myself to do the Col de Braus and Col de la Madone this morning. Luciano and his team were very nice and got us set up perfectly. The bikes were excellent quality, mine being Italian and having Di2 as well. 5 stars, would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for good quality bikes in the area.
Great shop! I had to get my chain changed, and it was repaired in just 15 minutes. Big thanks to Luciano for the quick and professional service!
Rented a road bike for a day. Great bike at a very reasonable price for a high end bike. And very friendly service. Amazing riding in the area, obviously.
I would prefer to give this bike shop no stars Anyone who rents you a top end disc brake racing bike that only has minimal contact between disc and pad and refuse to admit the mistake by saying he knows more than you is lethal. The bike suffered severe vibration when braking hard. At first I thought it might be a loose headset. That checked out ok so then looked at brakes. To my horror the pads were only contacting the last 1mm-2mm of the wavy edge of the disc. The owner assured me this was normal despite me pointing out the spec states 160mm should be fitted instead of the 140mm that were on mine. He refused to fix it and cancelled the remaining hire period. If that bike goes out again there will be a serious accident.
