Avis
I lived there for 9 months and it was quite a bad experience. I could write a book about what was wrong with this place, but I will only report the 2 worst incidents. 1. We had a rat in our apartment. Not in the building, straight up in our apartment. We immediately notified the manager, who was surprised given that the apartment was clean and in good overall conditions. The issue was not dealt with by who was in charge of it. The contract clearly stated that they had to take care of it, and when we asked them to do so, we were literally ignored. Multiple times!! 2. When I left, there was mold in the bathroom. The manager told me that if I could not clean it I could just paint over it, because that's what they were gonna do anyway and charge me €500 for it. While trying to get rid of the mold, I came across an appalling discovery. Since it was not going away after vinegar and various cleaning products, I tried to scrape it off and.. when the paint was scraped, it revealed that the mold was actually underneath it. So someone else already painted over it. I wonder how many times this is the way this issue was dealt with. You don't need a medical degree to understand this is a health hazard. Honestly this is just the tip of the iceberg. The only good thing is that the manager was very nice. But everyone else that supposedly works there never replies, even when you have rats issues apparently. I guess having a rat in your apt is the Parisian experience after all.
I stayed at YouFirst Campus, Bagnolet for four months in a shared apartment, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon checking in on October 11th, I was shocked to find the apartment in an extremely filthy condition by the existing flatmates, including the common areas. Despite raising this issue with the management, they refused to clean it and told me to "adjust" instead. I have dated photographic proof of how dirty the apartment was when I moved in and the effort I had to put in to clean it myself. Moreover, I was assured by the then-manager Jelome that I wouldn’t be charged for any cleaning, painting, or renovation upon checkout due to the apartment’s original condition. But while checking out the new manager who was the original manager made claims that the apartment was made dirty by me and even charged for the cleaning of the apartment without my consent. I have not received back the rest of the security amount. Besides the cleanliness issues, the campus also suffers from frequent water cuts, leaks, and elevator malfunctions, making daily life quite inconvenient. These issues occurred almost every week during my stay.
Don't ever think about it. Everything is good until you leave the apartment. They will charge you an overpriced cleaning fee of 90 euros regardless of how much you clean so it is much better to not clean at all! They also charge you several things just to get the money from your deposit. Not to mention the pungent smell that will welcome you every day at the entrance coming from the trash bins. The location is good but otherwise, find another student apartment that will not rob you!
I am living in a studio. The room is very comfortable and has all the necessary services (electric kitchen, fridge, bathroom, etc.). The environment is safe and the other students are kind and sociable. The area in which we live is quiet and within a few meters there are all the services like supermarkets etc. But the most important thing is that our manager Sabine is always kind, nice and helpful and she really cares about us. Her support is really important.
Always hot water problem, even there were times the water was cut off totally.. heating is not working. When I arrived I tought that there was a problem with my heater. When you touch it is not even warm it self.. But when the manager check she said it is normal😂 I waited 2 weeks the technician for my lights in the bathroom. I waited 1.5 week for the technician to change my stove becaus it stoped working.. Everything is problematic and takes time to be solved.. regarding the issues and high rent, I want to move out as soon as possible and wont recomment to any of my friends.
Great accommodation and management! Have always felt warm and welcome during my stay, especially the building manager is very helpful and patient. Always repond quick to solve whatever issue there is. Also, I am truly grateful that you took care of my hamster while I am away. :)
This residence is super! There is everything a student needs, gym, laundry room and bike parking! The common room is a meeting point for everyone and all the room are cozy with new furniture! I really suggest it as an accommodation in Paris because it’s even very close to the metro station of Gallieni (line 3) and there are lots of supermarkets nearby! 5 stars even for Sabine that is very sweet with all! She is always ready to help and fix the problems regarding the structure! :)
WORST PLACE EVER I lived there for 5 months approximately, and when I checked out the administration made me clean perfectly the whole flat and my room. I did it, and she said that every is perfect, and that the deposit will be sent in 1 months. But it’s already more than 2 months passed, and there’s no deposit back. I sent around 6 letters asking to clear it up and explain, maybe there’s a reason for them to be late with deposit payment. But all I get is ignore🤦♀️. And then I contacted my ex roommate from the same apartments, and surprise! She didn’t receive money back as well! She has checked out more than 3 months ago. And I remember that she cleaned the flat perfectly as well, and the administration told her that it’s ok as well. Also, to stop garantme, I need checking out list, or the landlord to send the letter to them. I asked for it by email, and again they ignore. Worst place ever! I’ll be in Hague starting from September, and will take a look of what I can do to make them pay me back.
