This is an amazing camping. We loved the set up, the aquapark, the petanque, the wellness and great proximity to the beautiful beaches and light house. The pizza’s are freshy made and soooo good! The staff was great! Don’t forget to bike to the food truck and check out the beautiful surroundings nearby:) Definitely will return😁
Excellent campsite. Amazing location beside the spectacular beach and lighthouse. Pool area is really good, great pools and slides and all well maintained. Entertainment team are fantastic, led by Glen who really helped make the holiday memorable. You're surrounded by nature in the campsite, lots of bird song (including Owls at night sometimes) being the only outside nosie for most of our visit. We would highly recommend staying here....We did not have a car so, we travelled by Taxi from La Rochelle airport. Our only minor issue was that the local Bus service didn't start until 9th July, after our departure...which we weren't made aware of, despite asking a couple of times at Reception (at check-in) and by email before the holiday. It was only a temporary issue and just meant we held on to our rental bikes longer than expected.|We cycled lots, to Bouverie beach and La Palmyre and Zoo, which was very enjoyable and easy for all ages along the cycle tracks right outside the campsite.
We have stayed for 7 nights camping in the red quarter. The camping pitches are very close together and I'm glad we booked a large pitch which gave us a bit of space. The facilities are great and very clean, pools are great and the slides kept us all entertained. Access to the beach is so easy. I stayed here 40 years ago and a lot has changed but would love to come back.
Great holiday with 4 kids (11 to 4). Loads of space between mobiles homes. Great pool and close to the beach. |Great shop onsite. |Camp site is quiet but not too quiet. Brand new gym if that’s your thing. |Most entertainment is in French but we did our own thing most evenings. |More English speaking staff for activities |for the kids would be great and was the only slight negative. |Would 100% recommend.
Great location for the beach and local towns and zoo! Unfortunatly site let down by poor maintanence , security and ongoing building work whilst open to guests .
Lovely campsite. Well stocked shop. Very clean facilities. Plenty of hot water. Pitches with lots of room and shade if required. Lots of activity for kids ( but all in French ). Fantastic pool area. Great location near beautiful cycle paths. Would highly recommend.
We stayed during the first week of July, beginning with four nights on pitch #29 in the Blue Zone, which provided excellent shade and almost no direct sun. We didn’t use the entertainment or pool, but I’m sure our kids would have loved them— the entertainment team clearly put a lot of effort into family fun.||Because of this fantastic location—so close to everything—we extended our stay. Unfortunately, our pitch was already booked, so we moved to pitch #28 in the Yellow Zone, a sunny corner pitch. We were there for just three nights, the longest this other pitch would be available for, but loved watching the world go by from this spot. The morning birdsong was a real highlight.||I would give the campsite five stars—except for one issue: night-time noise. We heard loud shouting and laughter from young people late into the night on both pitches. I think some night-time patrols could help. Thankfully, we didn’t have small children with us, but it would have been disruptive for them.||Other highlights:| • A well-stocked shop| • €9 cocktails at the bar, which is excellent value by Irish standards| • Clean, well-maintained facilities||All in all, this campsite is a strong five-star experience—if only it weren’t for the nighttime noise. We’ll definitely be back!
Had an excellent holiday camping with friends, pitches are all under trees keeping things cool even in 39°c heat. Facilities were great, very clean and accessible. It was fairly busy during peak season, but not over crowded. Good small shop on site selling all sorts of essentials such as beer, wine and baguettes. The restaurant on site was very nice and the pizzas from the snack bar were fantastic. Convenient EV charging near the entrance and helping and welcoming staff made for an excellent visit.
