Not worth it if you are visiting just the tree and it is raining 🙂‍↕️… but so lovely to do a long sprinting there

Don't stop for the tree, go visit the top of the hill, that's where the real beauty resides

If you have seen the photos, you know what you're getting, but it's more than ten seconds of "gosh, it's a tree-stump painted gold" because these woods are exceptionally beautiful and full of lovely paths. Pro tip: Avoid hunting days during the season.

This really is brightly golden. Interesting. We really loved this part of the forest and esp the lake and the short hike up the hill behind it (rocky, steep, take care if you try it!)
