Tennis Academy is very well organized and we came as a group. They were able to split us up well by skill level. We did the half-day adult camp. They do spend a lot of time emphasizing fitness. I think maybe 30 minutes Less would’ve been fine with 30 minutes More of Tennis instruction. We had our breakfast at the Academy. I think it was a bit overpriced for what you get, but it is a breakfast buffet. lunch and dinner were entirely off campus. There are lots of choices nearby. The accommodations were decent. Five minute walk to the tennis courts.
Great experience. Went there with a friend for a weekend tennis session in march. There are around 34 tennis courts. I was put in the right group by giving information about how long I have played and how often. You should bring warm training clothes if not during summer. My trainer was Nabil and he was nice and gave me some suggestions about improvement. I chose a 4 hour session a day and we had 1 hour warming up before the session (total 5 hours).
I really enjoyed being in this Academy! There are tens of courts with different surfaces; big enough gym with all needed equipment; pool; good lockers and vip area. Lovely atmosphere!
Sorry, this review is too late, we went there several months ago, but until now, we still miss everything we experienced here, the fantasy resort, complete tennis training facilities, Kevin from the marketing department gave us a very good communication, and We met some friends. My son said it was the best place he has ever been to. There is also some tennis court experience given by Patrick, which my son used repeatedly in the matches very effective. Hope to go there next time.
The good: Good facilities/well maintained clay courts. Fitness sessions were great with a lot of emphasis on tennis focused exercises and stretching/ recovery. The yoga class on one of the days was a nice added recovery session. Coaches are really kind and generally giving good feedback in real time. The bad: No access to pool(s) or any resort/ academy resources, like gym/ sauna/ other scheduled activities. Lunch included in the intensive full day week is very low quality cafeteria food (no healthy options), no local French items on the menu, no drinks included (other than drinking fountain water), very limited vegetarian options. The group tennis session are low intensity, no quick review of technique (the assumption is that you have a forehand/ backhand/ volley/ and serve), some occasional correction/ feedback, lots of waiting if more than 3 players in a group. Lots of ‘games’, few short drills, and generally covering only few elements in a day. For example we did not have a single volley/ approach/ smash until day 4, and no serves at all on day 1-2. No slices, period. Low intensity drills. Overall the tennis was a let down and I am not sure my tennis improved by a margin by the end of the week. A shout out to one of the coaches Sylwia Majewska for really working hard with me to improve my technique in the afternoon sessions. The strategy/ mental sessions while somewhat interesting were not as useful from my perspective as an adult recreational player. Overall, considering price/ amount of tennis played and quality of tennis sessions, I would likely not be back.
PROS Took some private adult lessons. Good feedback and structure. Friendly staff from the front desk to the shop and coaches. Peaceful location in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. World class facilities somewhat close to beautiful Nice/Cannes. CONS Too expensive for what it is (150 euro per lesson), particularly if you consider other top academies in nearby countries.
Sad Experience We were truly looking forward to playing at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, the reception area was very chaotic. We were not welcomed in a friendly or professional manner, and after checking our booking, we were told to go to Court 6. When we got there, the court was locked and completely inaccessible. We waited another ten minutes—while our scheduled court time was already running—but nothing happened. We returned to the reception to explain the situation. The staff member seemed unsure what to do and told us to “try and find a free court among the 30 courts ourselves.” This felt completely unprofessional, especially since we had a confirmed booking for a specific court. When we expressed our frustration, she mentioned several times that she was working alone and didn’t have enough staff to help or manage the situation properly. While we sympathize with her, this kind of disorganization is not what one expects from such a high-profile tennis academy. Eventually, she told us we could go to a hard court for a few minutes, but we didn’t have the right equipment. As we were heading there, she came running and said Court 10 had opened up, so we ended up playing there—well into our reserved time. To be fair, the academy is visually stunning and the courts are excellent. But the way things are managed, especially in terms of communication and customer service, is shockingly poor. We had already written to the academy several times in April, trying to book a private lesson. Each time we were told that someone would get back to us. No one ever did. In the end, we spent three weeks on the Côte d’Azur with the goal of training several times at the Mouratoglou Academy. We managed to play just once—and even that began with total disorganization. My husband, a professional athlete, took the morning off to play with me, and it turned into a c
I play itf and ask for itf sessions the Player I played with wasnt even on level and it is not what I expect for the price of €150/hour. The food is great and service but the tennis wasnt that great
