ROUEN HOSPITALITY II

Overall our experience was very good at this hotel. Great location, clean, great parking facilities, good breakfast, and friendly, professional staff. The room was very comfortable, but we did have a small issue about the air conditioning and the comfort of the bed ( amazing size ) - I might add this was not serious enough to warrant staff intervention.

For two nights looks good - quiet room, breakfast - pork ham, chicken ham, one type of better cheese one type of low cost cheese, scramble eggs, sausage and various sweets. There is not any vegetable. Next morning same but only low cost cheese (on ice). For two nights quite ok but I will be there for two weeks, I may survive with carefour nearby

The hotel is new, and the facilities reflect that. Everything seems on good condition, and the only weakness is the hellacious parking situation in the area. As a solution, email and reserve a parking spot in the garage (currently €11 per night, and cars must be under 2m in height…they aren’t kidding, it’s not a spacious access). The team at this location all seem to speak fluent English, so an email in English works…but efforts in French are appreciated.||The rooms seem to be simple, clean and fresh. The footprint of the hotel is small, with only about 16 rooms per floor, over eight total floors, plus the shared garage. If you’ve booked the garage, you can use the intercom on arrival to get the desk to open the access, and after that your room key will do so.||There is a Carrefour City a block away from the hotel, next to one of the two closest bus stops and a metro stop nearly as close, all of which provide excellent access to the Rouen area, IF you can get tickets. The MyActune app is difficult to get working, plus the “ticket machines” are temperamental and prefer to simply top a card. Buying a ticket directly on a bus is the easiest workaround.

This hotel is a real Gem. A great location with great public transport options. Great parking and easy to find. As a loyal IHG member of over 20 years, I have stayed at a number of IHG hotels all around the world from top class to basic and the experience of this stay blew me away to be honest, the staff were attentive, understood our needs and acted professionally at all times. We just didn't want to leave. Rouen is such a beautiful place to visit and we shall return again later in the year and this will be our go to hotel. A big thank you to all the staff, it was a joy being a guest

Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. The car parking was difficult to find, but luckily we found it by accident, it's down a slip road just before the entrance of the hotel. Breakfast was fine but not a lot of hot food choices, more continental.

Perfect for a one night stop over. Hotel was clean & welcoming with excellent reception staff. Breakfast adequate with a reasonable selection of bread, pastries, cheese, meats, fruit & yoghurt. A limited selection of warm food.

Good rooms, lovely helpful staff, very understanding when we double booked. We accidentally booked twice, our fault, the staff were very helpful and the hotel management understanding. They sorted it out for us with minimal fuss and a professional but very friendly attitude. The stay itself was good, good beds, clean rooms and well equipped.

You might like a city because of a person or a hotel, and you might dislike a city because of the same person or hotel. My experience at the Rouen Holiday Inn was the latter.
