It is a great place for a restaurant and the food was delicious but the portion sizes are huge especially the salads.

Lovely lunch on the banks of Canal du Midi at Castelnaudary. Friendly bi-lingual staff. Varied menu reasonably price. Beautiful setting.

What a find! Great location on a hot summer day. Had a lovely fresh salad for lunch, it was huge! Staff were friendly, service quick, prices good. It's very popular and used by the locals which is always a great sign.

Lovely waiting staff, attentive and helpful. Very quick to bring dinner once ordered. My salad, with goat's cheese, the vegetarian version, was wonderful. Fresh and delicious. Companion's burger was "excellent". The restaurant is à barge, and so charming this evening to eat as the sun fell down behind the bridge.

Unfortunately I can only comment on our interaction with staff as we did not dine here. We arrived at Castelnaudary while cruising the Canal Du Midi on a Sunday evening and this restaurant was recommended by the port staff. We enquired about a booking to be told they did not take bookings but we could arrive until 2100. We returned at 2045 to be told they were closed and we were turned away. I’m sure it can be very nice but we felt that they simply did not want our business.

Stunned! Of all the burgers I have eaten around the world, here is where I have eaten the best! Full of meat, gorgeous toppings plus the crunchiest of fries. A lovely setting alongside the Canal du midi, great service - and although beyond their control, a wonderful autumn sun! Other meals also looked great and I would have loved to try them. Huge bowls of salad with lovely toppings (the Camembert with onions and bacon bits seemed popular) and a great looking pork filet mignon. All prices were exceptionally good given the location. Sadly, they close at the end of September until next May. But probably worth the wait!

Food is cooked on a boat and served in a covered area on the bank. The Gambas were good.

Small place right next to the canal. Stopped by for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. Good chef, good food and they spoke English
