Precooked Chinese food, almost everything they reheat in the microwave, it was a new thing for me not to eat freshly cooked Chinese food, its not bad but not good as well, Mapo tofo was missing the peppercorns n the eggplant was taste less as the two side dishes,The place I visited two times was packed n needs more fresh air.

Delicious place for Chinese Food in a beautiful historic area. An absolut must when in the Marais. The food is so tasty and offers plenty of variety to choose from including vegan options. The service was really friendly and attentive. Amazing place to dine in and take out. Highly recommend the Tofu with steamed Vegetables and Rice & the Bao Buns.

I’ve been in Chez Shen several times. It has been generally okayish. Today i went to get takeaway. I haven’t eaten yet the food but i had the impression we were taken by fools: we ordered a Sichuan pork, cantonese duck rice, white rice, some fried shrimp dumplings. The order was messed up, but in that subtle way that makes you feel you were taken by per stupid: there was a rice with things, not what we ordered but the typical three-delight fried rice, there was pork, just nothing having to do with sichuan pork ( no sichuan pepper, just onions), and the fried shrimp dumplings were actually shrimp wonton. We spoke with the waitress, she said they did a mistake with the rice; the sichuan pork they cook it without sichuan pepper, apparently. They know perfectly what they did. I give my 1 star and i would recommend you not going there.

The food was bad. The pasta had a strange smell and was flavorless. The shrimp seemed very dry and stale. It was impossible to communicate in English. My friend ordered spring rolls and got a strange piece of meat. We didn't even finish a quarter of the dishes and went elsewhere.

The most incredible chinese restaurant I ever saw in Europe. It was a big surprise, because from the street it doesn't look fancy at all. The menu is very complicated (and no photos) , but everything is very good, you don't have to be an expert to find something very tasty. Very quick service, nice staff, very decent prices. The restaurant is tipical chinese, no design at all and not specifically clean, but is always full of customers and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. Congratulations !

This place deserves 5/5 Stars because for me this place awakes a warm heart feeling, because of the friendly workers and the friendly cooks. The atmosphere and especially the food reminds me of my childhood, because I basically grew up in a Chinese restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and the food is very good. I will come back, when I am back in Paris. Greetings from Germany
