I really wanted to make this review about the entire Paris transit system - it is a wonderful experience! This station was just a few feet from my front door and took us directly to Disneyland Paris. Even when you need to transfer trains, this is still a seamless experience and beats sitting in traffic any day. We only bought a 10 ride pass which was easy to use. The trains are always full but that wasn't a problem. Directions are also in English - very helpful and if you're traveling around Paris as a visitor, I highly recommend using public transportation in conjunction with Google maps - super easy!
To make a change from the normal Metro lines, a trip on the RER is a novelty. The carriages have two levels and the lines are long distance. When I travelled the car was almost empty and the ride quick and easy. The walking to the platform and the number of stairs took its toll and I had to stop for a cake to recover.
Very convenient station right in the heart of Paris, especially for Line A connections. It’s generally clean and well maintained, and the signage is helpful once you get used to the layout. That said, it can feel a bit confusing at first, with long corridors and a lot of foot traffic during peak hours. Still, it’s an essential hub and works well overall for commuting and transfers.
We stopped at this station to catch a train to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, home to Disneyland Paris. A digital notice board is prominently displayed, providing clear directions to Disneyland Paris. The station is impeccably tidy and well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant travel experience.
I didn't have any of the problems the other reviewers mentioned, hence the 3 stars. I found the ticket machines to be very simple to use. We took the regional railway to Disneyland and everything was smooth. 3,5 stars.
It’s quite a big metro station in Paris that integrated with so many lines RER A etc and located in very strategic area.
if you're visiting paris anytime soon and require wheelchair or pushchair access, avoid the paris metro at all cost. this was one of the most awful experiences i have encountered with public transport as a tourist. signs were so confusing even the locals looked confused. gates to get to your station were tight meaning we had to close pushchair every time we had to go through them. there wasnt a lift or escalator in sight meaning along with the 20k steps we were doing while exploring the city we were pushing 30k by climbing the steps up and down. dont get me started on some of the security guards and locals, even with google translate they were unwilling to help. the government of this backwards country needs to execute plans to make stations more accesible ASAP. in conclusion, dont take the metro instead takes the buses and download apps on your phone like 'moovit' which are much much better and easy to use to find buses, routes etc
Big train and metro station. It’s being revamped but so far it’s really dark, dirty and smelly.
