I accidently had a porte claquee (slammed door) where I left the key in the lock on the inside of the apartment and closed the door. It meant that I could not open the door with my key. As an expat that can only speak basic french, it was a big help to find a english speaking locksmith. The price was agreed before assistance was requested. Within 15 mins of the call, a locksmith arrived and opened the door. Very happy with the service
