Delightful! Interesting menu of local options and other French foods. Try to the boar stew! Several different options for the kids menu- fish, chicken, ham, steak.
Lovely courtyard and great to see a vegetarian/vegan menu. Friendly service. We had the veggie burger and a Tarte flambée without lardons.
We received great service from an extremely kind waitress and the old fashioned surroundings were very charming. However, the food left much to be desired. I had duck breast with honey mustard sauce, puré and vegetables. The duck was tasteless, tough and all round terribly prepared. The sauce, too thin and didn’t have much taste either. The vegetables were soggy and clearly microwaved and so was the puré (which surprisingly were quite good consistency and taste wise) - overall a huge disappointment, but I’ll give two stars for the great service. The fact that they are advertising a Michelin guide sign from 2017 is a joke :)
I choose this restaurant because offered outside dining in a courtyard rather than on the street. We ate the four course menu and enjoyed it very much, though we had little room for the cheese course. We also choose a pitcher of local wine of a variety I had never heard of. It was quite refreshing, fruity but not too sweet. Surrounded by French speaking patrons I felt I had dodged a tourist trap.
Excelent restaurant, the best we have visited so far. Very decent staff and the food was just heavenly. My asparagus with morels and foie gras in creamy butter sauce was just the best asparagus dish I have ever had. The other dishes were delicious as well. They also offered us a child's seat so our little one could sit comfortably. Very nice experience.
A very enjoyable experience all round! In addition to excellent starters (salmon tartare & asparagus salad), mains (halibut & chicken in pinot), followed by a superb kugelhopf d'alsace or a nicely presented fresh fruit salad, all complimented by a nice local Pinot Noir, the recommendations and attention of the waiting staff was much appreciated. The best meal our group has experienced in Kaysersberg. Nice work and thank you!
Very average in all regards… small a la carte menu and no possibility to order any of the menu dishes - strange.
very good traditional restaurant!!! I suggest the onion soup to start!!!
