I had a very disappointing experience with Hertz France. After returning my rental car with a completely full tank, I was still charged an additional refuelling fee. I immediately contacted customer service and provided fuel receipts from the same day, just minutes before the return, clearly showing the tank was full. Hertz acknowledged my case (Case #28902082) and asked for proof which I promptly provided. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-ups over several months, including escalating to their general customer relations email and othera. No response. No resolution. No refund. To make matters worse: • The car I originally reserved was not available. What is the purpose of the reservation then? • The return process was unattended (key drop-off only), which likely caused the incorrect inspection. • Despite clear evidence, Hertz chose to ignore the issue entirely. Being charged for something I did not do is bad enough. Being ignored for half a year when trying to resolve it is unacceptable. I will not be renting from Hertz again, and I strongly advise others to use literally any other rental option available at the airport.

Friendly staff,. I recommend it. If you go to the A13, A14 motorway, register on sanef.com and you have 24 to 72 hours to pay. Signing up is easy. And so the punishment will not come...

I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with a situation and the resulting significant financial loss that occurred with my rental through Hertz in France! I rented a car at Beauvais Airport between 25 and 30 August 2025. When I picked up the car, I was not informed about the payment system for the A13 and A14 motorways, which are “free-flow” motorways, as I later found out at my own expense. In my opinion, it is unreasonable to expect a foreigner driving in this region for the first time to be aware of this system. What's more, it is a recent system, as I later saw on the internet. Hertz should inform its customers; it costs nothing and avoids very unpleasant situations. Good rental service is not just about signing the papers and handing over the car keys! When the rental period ended, I went to return the car, and once again no one mentioned the tolls to me. They could have asked if I had used the motorways and, if so, explained how to pay the tolls. But none of that happened, and I returned to Portugal without knowing that I owed several tolls. More than two months later, on 10 November, I received an email notification from Hertz saying that I had three fines to pay, to which a fourth fine was added on 13 November. But none of these emails explained the nature of the fine, they only mentioned the administrative costs I had to pay to Hertz for providing my data to the authorities. Later, I received notices by letter demanding payment to Hertz, 19.99 euros for each fine. I paid the indicated amounts. But still didn't know what infractions I had committed, how much was the fine and how could I resolve the situation. I didn´t receive any notification from the authorities. Desperate, on December 2nd I contacted Herts's customer's support by e-mail to try to get help. They replied on the 12nd asking for some details about my car rental. So finally, on December 16th, Hertz sent me the Sanef payment notice documents, issued on September 7th! The result of all t

Avoid this place at all cost, few issues here which are still not resolved on Hertz side. 1. Rented a car without additional insurance, upon arriving been asked again if I need one, despite my refusal they charger 93e for additional insurance without mentioned anything. 2. deposit hold of 550e meant to be released withing 24hrs and can take 3-7 working day according to them to be visible back on the account - IT'S TWO WEEKS LATER AND I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT BACK. 3. Been trying to contact them by a phone - FORGET ABOUT IT, eventually somebody replied to my 3rd email and said it can now take up to 28days and it's due to the bank policy, not them. 4. I have asked for proof of releasing fund but obviously no reply - will dispute transaction with card issuer PLEASE AVOID AND DON"T RENT THERE

Be careful when you take a car with limited millage (normally 250 km per day)! We rented the car for 3 days (250*3) from which we spent one day at Disney land and they charged us 2160 km of over millage !!! in total 780 euro!!! Can you imagine to drive almost 3000 km in 3 days from which one was fully spent at Disney??!!! This because when they filled in the contract they left the millage from some previous client and they withdrew from our card additionally 780 euro!!! Good that we had a check-out paper were very small were put the correct millage….. good that after many calls and letters they recognised that it was the mistake of their personnel!!! Be careful, make pictures of the millage before you leave and read good all papers you sign even what it is written with small letters and numbers!!!

I do not recommend this company. They charge additional deposits when renting, manipulate customers, and mislead them to sell extra insurance disguised as a deposit. In the end, the rental costs twice as much as originally expected.

Terrible experience, I don’t recommend it!!! I needed to get a car TODAY, so far ok, I already found an expensive price, the seller said that I pass the car with the minimum value they had at the moment and AUTOMATIC (Captor Renew), I repeat: I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE AND HE SAID HE ONLY HAD ONE AUTOMATIC AT THE MOMENT. I accepted and took it, arriving in the MANUAL car. I returned to complain and the man? DISAPPEARED. Summary: PICKS, I’m going to file a lawsuit. DON’T RENT WITH HERTZ
