I stayed 6 nights at this fabulous campsite, that says it all! Well worth a visit, superb facilities, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, spacious pitches, quiet and super efficient friendly English speaking reception staff. Nice dog friendly beach within walking distance with a bar and located equidistant between St Jean de Luz and Biarritz. And all for €21 per night with ACSI. What’s not to like?
A bit disappointed by this campsite, it was pretty full but only one toilet/shower block was open, not good to have to wait to use the facilities. Issues with flies from Green waste ( see below) and disinterested and dismissive reception manager. Everyone else was lovely
Wonderful family run campsite. Great clean amenities. I arrived without a booking in thier busiest period because my car broke down and they really looked after me. For 4 weeks! Would recommend the campsite, but avoid breaking down in Bidart during summer if you can.
We spent 14 nights on this site in August 2019, with our large caravan and awning. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 8 and 11.||||We were a little nervous when booking this site, as we did not find the website all that informative and there were not that many english reviews. We needn’t have been, it was fab for our family.||||The pitches were fine, they were private and flat, perhaps they could have been a bit bigger, but our set-up is quite large. We have a 7.3m caravan and a large awning, the pitch was able to accommodate this, with space for seating and the car. I would say the pitches are of a similar size as you get elsewhere in France.||||Most of the residents on the campsite were Dutch, Spanish and French, with just a couple of English families. We quite liked this as we like to feel like we are abroad on holiday.||||The staff at the site were very helpful and spoke good english, but also played along as I attempted to use my pigeon French.||||The campsite says that you have to arrive by 8pm (I think), but we arrived from our ferry at Santander at about 9pm. I warned the site in advance of our delay late and upon our arrival there was a member of staff to great us.||||The pool area was good, it kept our kids entertained for two weeks and although on occasions it got busy, we never struggled to get a lounger.||||We ate in the bar on one occasion, the food was excellent and seemed to be reasonable value. There was something on every night at the bar, like singers, a disco, bingo and a foam party.||||The site was quiet, I have no idea what time you had to be quiet by, but this was never an issue.||||There is a kids club on the site which my 8 year old attended. This was mostly attended by french kids, but the person running it spoke good english. My son enjoyed the kids clubs and chose to go on several occasions.||||The site is a short walk along a cycle paths to a fab beach. It has waves for body boarding, which whilst we were there was never uns
Great place! Really lovely reception and great people working there. I also really like their "no reservation" policy," as this allows us to still find beautiful campsites like this during peak season, when all other camp sites are fully booked.
super unfriendly staff, i had my family’s card so i don’t understand why this would be a reason to talk in a very rude way with the customers, it is always possible to be polite. Also a younger girl who was working at the reception was super friendly, and the older women was gossiping behind the other girls back to another college while we as customers were standing at the reception. Very unprofessional, aswell as the the response by the owner to my review. This is not a diplomatic way to solve a conflict in my opinion. Can definitely not recommend this camping ground.
Let's start with the good (as it should be). The location is good, a 5 minute walk from the beach, the bar/restaurant staff lovely and accommodating and the reception people eager to help. The bad, the Eurocamp/homair staff absolutely awful, not helpful at all, always looking for problems, only spoke French, not a word of English or Spanish, very little to no shade on the entire campsite, very rule based campsite, we were being abused for talking between 5 people outside our bungalow at 10:30 at night when the quiet time was from 11 onwards. Hassled entering the pool area, hassled in the jacuzzi area. Not somewhere to take adolescents or tweenies. It's not a great place.
Peaceful, clean campsite with excellent facilities. Good size pitches and choose your own, which is always nice. Snack bar good and not too expensive and swimming pool great for cooling down on hot days. Not too far from beach and town.
