5.0 The AS Athlete

The best flan I’ve tried in Paris and I’ve hit up dozens of places! The filling was flavoursome and light, the crust was perfect (crunchy and held everything together perfectly). I was really impressed. The other pastries are very good but it was the flan that stood out as the best in Paris.

Good cookies. Bought some as souvenirs too. Wanted to try pasties too, but this would be next visit. I came in the afternoon and most items were sold out.

A 3rd generation bakery, which is known for its famous round sourdough. You can feel that it is a family run business that revers bread!!!! 🍞 The demeanour of the staff is more like a sommelier of bread and they are thoughtful in helping you pick the right bread…I mean how can you go wrong???? I had the tartelette aux pommes and let me tell you I contemplated hiding the second from my husband to have later! It is unreal!

Driest croissants I've ever had from a bakery (and that's not just French bakeries) , no crisp outside nor fluffy interior. They lack any shine and almost tasted stale... wondering if they were even fresh this morning or just leftover from yesterday. Besides that they don't have a tradition baguette- wish I had gone to a different bakery 🥲

Love the concept of ancient grains and sustainable farming, loving and protecting the land. The breads and pastries are amazing and the space is beautiful.

Great bakery, bread was good but was even more impressed by the pain aux chocolat and flan. Pain aux chocolat was probably the best I had in Paris! Flan had a nice custard similar to an egg tart.

I wanted to try their galette feuilleté, the original galette des rois. It was a bit disappointing to find the pastry quite dry and hard. The service though was stellar. The seller was kind and answered questions nicely.

Looks more like an atelier than a bakery, but there is a lovely lady behind the counter who will be happy to assist you. I love the apple croissant, highly recommend. Their pain au chocolat was also good. I found the cookies not so special, perhaps lacking that buttery flavor.
