GARDEN BEACH

It was a busy beach. But nevertheless with great sunshine and the sea was very pleasant with a gradual slope into the water. You could pay €30+ for a beach bed, but we just rolled out a towel and enjoyed the sunshine.

This is in my opinion the best beach in the whole region. Pristine water, pleasant sand beach, unfortunately quite crammed in the summer.

Very clean beach with blue water. It's perfect for family outing with kids. Variety of restaurants near to beach. Parking place for car also available nearby.

Beautiful port town with some great restaurants for lunch too. Nice relaxed vibe about the place

Magic...

Tried to go there on a Sunday but parking was a nightmare. Once I found a spot (a bit far from the beach) I was shocked that parking for a couple of hours was almost 12 euro. And there were parking inspectors everywhere so a fine was almost guaranteed. Compared to other beaches between Marseille and Toulon, this was way excessive, so I got the vibe that the city council was not exactly encouraging tourists. The beach itself looked pretty nice but not different from many others around. I also tried Plage Lumiere which is nearby, but same story. Ended up going to Plage des Lecques instead.
