For the price this is a good place if you need the basics. I thought it was well set up. Everything is small and efficient. Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Blackout blind on window. Restaurants nearby. A problem came up that I contacted the staff about and wasn’t their fault — I thought it was dealt with quickly and professionally. I think a sink with hand soap outside the shared toilets would be a helpful addition as simple sanitizer for everyone using the shared toilets is not ideal. There is the option of a room with a small personal bathroom as well.

This is not a hotel but a hostel the first thing you notice is a foul smell which pervades the whole building. I checked in online so this was confirmed and we were handed a code for our door, along with a small hand towel. in the room there was no carpet the window and radiator in disrepair and harsh strip lighting. The room was nearby the toilets and showers but suffice to say I wouldn't even entertain a shower or sitting on the toilet. All night it seemed that Tobacco smoke was being funneled through the air conditioning and I was constantly awoken with the noise of people walking past and talking at reception. I couldn't wait to get out and the only saving grace was that the tram station was about 150 yards away. How they had the audacity to charge about €90 is beyond me. it's quite a bit out of the centre. Look elsewhere. All in all thoroughly disappointed...

It's alright for the price they offer, biggest problem is that it is a somewhat uninviting area of the city, even though there are some nice restaurants beside the building and it's close to a big Carrefour. It is conveniently placed near a tram station. The bedrooms were small, beds were alright. They do not clean the bunk beds. Shared toilets and showers on the floor, they were alright, slightly dirty but nothing special for the price range of this hotel. As mentioned in other comments, to wash your hands you had to go back to your room, inconvenient. Finally, breakfast was a bit expensive for what they offer : cereal, fruit and coffee. To end on a good note though, the staff was friendly. Overall, it's OK considering the price.

The place is good, worth of value

Nice, simple, cheap & clean hotel. The people at the front desk helped us with all our questions about Lyon. The room was not very big but was perfect for our stay. Shared bathrooms and toilets where cleaned regularly throughout the day and were spotless every time. Close to a tram station where line T4 will drop you off in the city center in less than 15 minutes.

You get what you pay for! We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and the receptionist friendly. It is true that you can hear everything from the hallway inside the rooms. The toilets and showers were also clean. Remember those are in the hallway aswell, never too far though. The breakfast is really small, again, it’s really cheap. It is the main reason I would not suggest staying here for longer periods. You just get bored. 2 days were fine. You can take the Tram T4 (3 mins from the Hotel) to Gare de Venissieux and take the metro to the city center. It takes no more than 30 minutes. That was perfect acceptable. You can buy Tickets at the station, we paid 25€ for 2 days and 2 persons.

*Do not stay here, it was horrible. *Shared toilets in corridor, no soap or sink to wash hands in these shared toilets. *Some (but not all) toilets had hand sanitizer, but this was insufficient. *No body size towels for showering available for free or to buy/rent. Small hand towel provided is inadequate. *Shower rooms smelt unclean, and their flooring choice unhygenic * Showers or toilets had one day flooded the corridor *Hand towels and sheets smelt strongly of bleach *Reception smelt like urine *Cleaners left window open, so returned late to a very cold room and ceiling heater worked slowly. *Thin walls, so noisy at times and relatively easy to hear other guests. *Pokestop at end of corridor was the only highlight!

What can I say more than am flabbergasted to see how cool and clean an F1 hotel could be for real sometimes in life it's better to see to believe have seen and i can tell you that if you ever come to Lyon and you are looking for an hotel where you can be you without being judged just come to Hotel F1 in venissieux much love sky is the limit 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
