Great for the amazing Beaufort cheese 🤤 and also wines, sausages, jams, local honey. I recommend picking up some cured meats and a selection of local cheeses to enjoy a great picnic up the mountain.

There are two parts to this place; the museum and the 'basement' or cave underneath it. The museum did have some information, but unfortunately not in English. The tour through the basement was magnificent. I visited with my family and we got a private tour with one of the people that worked there. She was very nice and tried her best to explain everything to us in English. She gave very personalized answers to every question we asked! That part we would definitely give 5 stars. The only reason it is 4 is because the museum didn't have English descriptions. Extra notes; - The masks we wore were very handy, the ammonia is very strong in the basement! Definitely recommend to wear them - Give the guide on this day a raise! Super sweet

Very chessey...The moment you walk into the Coopérative Laitière du Beaufortain, it’s as if the Alps themselves lean down to whisper, “Bienvenue, mon amour.” The air is perfumed with the intoxicating scent of Beaufort—golden wheels of destiny, patiently aged in quiet cellars like love letters sealed in time. Each slice tells a story: of cows grazing on summer pastures high enough to kiss the clouds, of milk warm from the udder meeting the skilled hands of master affineurs, of a valley that refuses to let romance die. The texture? Silky like a promise. The taste? A slow waltz between nutty and floral notes, leaving you dizzy in the most delicious way. By the time you leave, you’ll be clutching your wedge of Beaufort like a soulmate.

Pit stop during a motorbike tour, nice location where you can buy the famous Beaufort and other typical food from the area. I suggest to give the possibility to vacuum also other cheeses.

Arguably the best cheese of the Savoie region, direct from the co-operative. Great little shop and very fairly priced compared with the same products in local supermarkets
