Gorgeous tower that you can see from anywhere in Lille. Unfortunately we did not have time to enter and go up but i'm sure the experience must be amazing. Surely next time when we're in Lille.
Watch out you have to be there early if you want to get a chance to get into the belfy and climb all the way up in the elevator or the escalator, but I am not sure if you can buy the tickets in advance, but you have to be able to stay within the line to get the chance to get inside. The view from there is very nice along with the history that you can read around the top of the tower you can also buy some nice souvenirs from there, and the ladies at the counter were very nice and helpful.
Nice experience to see all of Lille and some of Belgium too (if it's not cloudy). Tickets are 7.5 euro, you have to wait in line because they let up only 18 people at a time.
UNESCO heritage site , opens at 10. I went without bookings on a Saturday and was asked to return at 11 due to pre booked individuals had preference. but while I was still waiting outside their gate the staff was kind to include me apparently there was still empty slot. Ticket 7 euros. One must walk 3 floors (109 steps) to be at the reception. Before that you must leave your sacs in the locker ( free of cost) & easy to operate. On upper floor there is a receptionist cash desert but ticket ( if not bought online) . Then you may choose to climb 5 floors or take elevator. I climbed and the steps are short and easy to climb around 400 steps to reach the top. Nice views and good info on display with list of spots one can observe . Overall enjoyable experience. It was bit windy upstairs . Each floor has observation windows too.
We enjoyed our trip up this iconic belfry, we tried as it opened on a Sunday morning but the queue was full, by 4pm in the afternoon we only had to wait 10 min. We chose to walk up all the stairs (not as difficult as I thought) and the view was well worth the climb. Really interesting to see the mix of architecture in Lille and an aerial view of the places we'd visited. Good value too!
105 m high UNESCO world heritage site, the Best place to have 360 degree breathtaking view of Lille city. There is paid entry to the building 6euros. There is a lift after 100steps to the top. Open 7 days a week from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm The last visits take place 45 minutes before closing time. The Belfry is accessible free of charge and without reservation on the first Wednesday of each month. Children under 6 can visit the Belfry free of charge .
One of the highest viewpoints in the city. You need to climb around 100 steps before you can get on the lift that'll that you straight to the top. On a clear day, you can all across the city and beyond. I recommend booking in advance for when it opens at 10am like I did as it meant that not only was I the first to the top, but I also avoided having to queue up to go in as only a certain number of people are allowed up at one time.
104 metre tall; I'm sure sightseeing is also stunning, but my 68 years old knees didn't have courage to climb those stairs.
