LA VILLA M

We had an excellent 3 nights in early stay in early December. Hosts Nicolas and Hoby were warm and friendly. Their B & B is an easy walk to the train station and into the centre of town. Our room was beautifully appointed with a private balcony that had views of Obernai and distant hills. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a selection of cheeses and meats with bread rolls, followed by a choice of yoghurt, eggs, jams, juice and, of course, tea or coffee.

A nice little guesthouse run by a very friendly young family. Breakfast is plentiful and of good quality. Modern rooms. We'd be happy to return.

We stayed here for 5 nights in September while exploring the Alsace wine trail. This is an excellent place to stay. Nicolas and Hobey treated us as guests in their home, offering help and advice on matters from places to visit to restaurants that suited our requirements. They also booked tables for us. The breakfasts were excellent and included some of Hobeys freshly prepared fruit salad and french toast. There was a good quality wine and a selection of beers available in the fridge at very modest prices. Our room was spotless, as was the whole house, and the bathroom modern and the bed very comfortable. The room that we booked had air conditioning and a covered balcony where we could sit and admire lovely views over the town and mountains. Parking on site is good and a 5 minute walk takes you to the town centre with many cafes and and restaurants. There is a patio outside with loungers and there is a small indoor room with books and maps for guests to use. Nicolas and Hobey spoke excellent English, French and as far as we could tell, German! They deserve to succeed in this enterprise as they both put so much into it.

Stayed for three nights at Hoby and Nicolas B&B, which is just steps away from the center of Obernai. Very good and clean room, excellent bed, linens and towels. Extensive breakfast for a great start of the day. Outstanding, accomodating and caring hosts, providing great tips of the area and restaurants, while listening to your experiences. Highly recommended place to stay when you are in the area!

Recently returned from a first time road trip to the Alsace. Stayed at this B&B for 2 nights in one of the second floor rooms with a balcony overlooking Obernai. ||||Sitting on the balcony in the early morning was quite enjoyable.|| ||Nicolas & Hoby are the most gracious of hosts. Their love & pride of their home and what the Alsace area has to offer shows through.||||Both provided great recommendations & suggestion for restaurants, sites & wineries. ||A logistical suggestion to use a commuter parking lot & tram into the centre of Strasbourg was quite helpful. ||||The home has been renovated to a modern level while maintaining a cosy ambiance. Beds are comfortable and bathroom fixtures and finishes are of high quality.||||I thoroughly enjoyed the stay here and my travels along the Wine Road. ||||I wish Nicolas & Hoby much success and if I am fortunate to be able to return to Obernai I will stay here.

What made this so special were the lovely couple Nicolas and Hoby . So welcoming and helpful .in every way. Lovely breakfast bread, hams, cheeses, croissants, yoghurt, fruit salad and lovely coffee. We had the first floor room with lovely balcony overlooking the town and the Vosges mountains in the distance..A nice comfortable bed , deep bath and powerful shower. ||A great place to stay in the Alsace region||.

We had the good fortune of spending several nights at Nicolas & Hoby’s beautiful La Villa Du Coteau Bed and Breakfast in Obernai, France. Their B&B is absolutely beautiful and reflects the charm that one would expect. Our room was a charming top floor suite that contained all the amenities that we could ask for. Drinks in the main room were always available and every morning Nicolas, treated us to one of the most amazing breakfasts ever, with an Alsace touch. Nicolas was always available when requesting information regarding restaurants and places to visit. I would most definitely recommend La Villa Du Coteau Bed and Breakfast if you’re planning a trip to the Strasbourg region of France. The La Villa Du Coteau is near the center of town, which makes it a perfect location. Nicolas and Hoby truly understand the meaning of service and hospitality offered to its guests and we will definitely return.

We stayed at La Villa du Coteau last week for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay!!||We had a quadruple room ( a couple with 2 grown up kids). The room was spotless clean and recently renovated in very good taste. Linen are beautiful and beds are very comfortable. ||Hoby & Nicolas were amazing hosts, with lots of recommendations on what to do in the area and also about good food and wine. ||They definitely made a difference in making our stay enjoyable !!||If you're thinking about touring Alsace I would definitely choose Obernai ( both beautiful & interesting ) and I will definitely return and stay at La Villa du Coteau!!!
