We arrived with high expectations and they were all met. We are beginner/intermediate French speakers, and oh, how bummed we were for our lack of French when the chef came to greet each table. The entire experience was superb!
Very creatively crafted menu with also super yummy tastes! Not only just “pretty place “ ! All dishes she’s are just so tasty! The atmosphere is amazing Highly recommended
Great, delicate and organised atmosphere . Menu is sublime, an exquisite selection of wines complete this gourmet voyage.
I imagine that this is what a restaurant in heaven must feel like, or at least one in the atrium before entering. Dynamic and fun are dirty words to be left at the door, and replaced with calm, soporific, almost refined. I concede that I'm not familiar with Michelin starred dining, so perhaps this is the aim. Either way it rather feels like eating in a library, the soft murmur of lowered voices, amongst dated decor. But still, the food is obviously the star of the show here, not the set. The starter was a rather odd culture clash of cajun and curry, but for the rather less robust palate of the French. Admittedly I tend to be heavy handed in with my spices, however the prawns would have benefited from a little more heat. Still, it was light, flavoursome and beautifully composed. A main of boned guinea fowl thigh with puree was truly delicious, a rare treat for me, so rich and comforting. And also a vacation for the teeth, as everything was so tender no chewing was required. Dessert was the weakest part of the meal, a apple tartlet with caramel sauce and topped with a light sheeps-cream mousse so incredibly cold it defibrillators your sleepy teeth back into life. All in all a unique experience, a gift to leisurely eat, to stop and savour and consider each forkful. The standout taste, however wasn't in the elaboration of quality products sliced, seared and sautéed in the kitchen, but the humble 'pain classique' bread roll offered with the meal. It tasted honest, strong, malty and of the countryside. For that alone, I'd go back.
Exquisite dishes exploding flavors at times purposefully subdued; the creativity in ingredients keeps you on your toes throughout the 3 hour (in our case) experience. Very good team especially Anne the sommelier.
All time favourite of ours! Food is always prepared to perfection and use the freshest ingredients. Great wine list and the atmosphere is amazing! Always a pleasure to come here
The best of French cuisine packed in a delicious local South Western restaurant with a gourmet chef and amazing service. Sourced locally the whole experience is superior!
A little gem not too far from Toulouse. Service is top notch and the food was quite exquisite.
