Avis
What I appreciate most is that it is a clean station, the toilets are also well maintained, the displays and announcements are clear and the staff is very friendly.
A fairly big modern train station. The service is ok as are the personnel. I however boycot the French train system because it's too expensive. All the smaller lines has been ripped out and only the profitable TGV and crowded TER are still operating. Every year they look to stop more lines. They have systems where you pay more for the ticket the later you buy it and more during weekend periods. It's all about money!! The sleeper trains from Paris to the south of France are in an atrocious state. Some of the older tracks are dangerous and trains leave the track. Use blabla car or flixbus as it's always cheaper! #boycot
Nice modern station, too bad there’s no luggage storage available; very inconvenient. They also charge a small fee to use their toilet.
Lovely station very helpful gentleman in the ticket booking office
Paid with cash 0.6 euro with a 5 euro note. Reluctantly because I don't want foreign coins. Got coins back entered the toilet (urgent matter). Then on way out i was demanded money (again!!!). The change (returned coins) were in my pocket so even i had memory of a mosquito the coins were there. The woman totally denied i have paid and claimed there is no 5 euro note. She did not speak english and I don't speak french. So security came and claimed it is impossible I paid with a 5 euro note because there isn't any 5 euro note. I insisted and basically got escorted out. I returned and gave the remaining coins because if she's so into doing wrong instead of right I got rid of the coins and made my point - it's not about money, it's about true/false right/wrong. I usually rate here on Google review only to give high ratings but this only time , trust me, this rating is well reserved 1 star. And I think you can trust me on that based on my previous ratings. Trust is earned and I am not wasting it. Besides i live in Switzerland where we don't have euro so Euro coins is a pain when returning. I deliberately avoid having euro coins. So I wasn't feeling great loss making my point slamming the rest of the coins on her desk. So lesson learned, at Angers train station toilet: don't go there otherwise pay with credit card, if cash insist (!!!) on receipt. Now leaving Angers and talked with one of the security guards. 23.05.2025 Now the story is changed. And it is still false untrue and a lie. Now its claimed i paid too much and she wanted to pay back. Wrong. That same security guard translated that the women did not have any 5 euro note. Also, i did not end up with 4.4 euro leftover. I ended up with less!! So so I happily dumped the rest on her desk.. I told the guard I entered France without euro coins and now happily leaving France without euro coins and showed him my IDs that I'm from Sweden and Switzerland...no euro countries. This is so wrong that i precisely want to make t
Beautiful train station in Angers Maine et Loire.
Nobody speaks English there - so plan carefully if you travel with a bike or have complicated questions about your travel. Nobody was able to tell me how booking a bike place on The Loire train works. I was handed a leaflet - and when you scan the QR code, at some point the info is in French, so you still have no idea that on weekends and public holidays you need to book a bike place on different website than your own ticket.
Easy access to tram, local and intercity bus stations. Taxi service available. Sandwich, food and drinks, sanitary items, books available in the shops/automatique vending machines that are inside the station. Beautiful fountain in the front. There is a pharmacy right outside and pleanty of restaurants in walkable distance.
