Paris is moving to an all App based ticketing system. So while they have old-fashioned ticket machines, there's few machines and you have to go look for them because they're not by every entrance. And if they break, they don't fix them (why waste the money when in 6 months, it'll be taken down). If they run out of paper tickets, they do not refill them. Bondy station is in midst of "improvements" which means that the citizens of Paris will have a wonderful, modern train station in the future. But if you're a temporary visitor, you will be lost as there are few signs to tell you where to go. But don't worry, it seems that passenger fares are on an honor system. Nobody checked to see if you have a ticket and on the connecting T4 tram, most people seemed to just ride for free (kind of like in the crappy parts of New York City, people jump the turnstiles to avoid paying the fare too). My travel companion read on the internet that the fine for riding the subway without a fare was very high so she insisted we buy tickets. It took us over an hour to try different machines and ultimately download an app (and then you can only buy one ticket per phone). Forget this. Just take an Uber.

Parking is good at the Park and Ride next door. Station is quite grubby and dirty, was under construction which it seems to have been for a while. Ticket machine by the stairs was not working properly, no clear signage to show there are more in the building next door, thankfully a stranger showed me this. Found the layout quite complicated, and the bridge crossing over the railway was closed. Fine as a train station and good to get into Paris. Helpful TV screens for arriving trains. However it is quite a tatty environment.

Date 3 -2- 2021 evening time 20 :15 train for Paris waiting time 28 minutes on mobile application and Google map time and reality time have some time big gap found !!!!
