Avis
10 from 5 stars. Absolutely amazing place. The most beautiful cave which I have ever seen. Wery enthusiastic guide man. The cost is 15.40 €.
This was really an unexprected visit and we glad we found it as the cave was pretty interesting and big thank you to our tour guide (we forgot to ask your name) because you made our visit ver worth it by explaining the story in Spanish for us to understand its history. Overall, come visit Grotte de Fontrabiouse!
We visited this cave today and it was a great experience! Beautiful stalactites and stalagmites and some interesting history on the guided tour. The trip takes you through two galeries, 80m below the ground. It's pretty special. Make sure you take some kind of cardigan or sweater - it's cold down there. We saw some younger kids in shorts that were shivering. The floor is wet so wear closed toed shoes and don't wear anything that trails on the ground because it'll get filthy. Very much not advisable for anyone with mobility issues - there are a lot of steep slopes and stairs to manage.
Good experience. Not perfect as the group we went with was around 40 people which is too much for the experience
Spectacular cave. Well worth a visit!
Found it on a day off from the slopes. Luckily managed to get there just after lunch and it was quiet so we had a tour ourselves. We don't speak any French but the guide was great and we had fun trying to communicate with him. The place is amazing, so much to see and photos really don't do it justice. Very very interesting and one of the highlights of our holiday!
Really good experience. Make sure you take a jumper/hoodie and wear trainers. The tour is in French but the audio guide is available in other languages for 1.50. Lovely cafe and picnic area. Would definitely recommend.
Came here because we were looking for something to do on a rainy day, was very pleasantly surprised. About €13 per person, and you join one of the tours that leaves approximately every half-1 hour, we were lucky and arrived just as one was leaving. You have to take the tour, which is led by a french guide. If you can't speak French there is the option for one of those prerecorded phones with info for different points. The tour lasted a good hour and the different formations were amazing, really enjoyed it
